Strange Ritual

The blade slowly disintegrated into dark particles as the Corruption of the Underworld engulfed it fully. But before that had happened, it had slammed right into the centre of the Serpent's skull.

Ordinarily, the blade shouldn't have penetrated through the thick scales of the massive Dune Serpent, however, with the power of Corruption spreading through it, the short dagger pierced a thin and precise hole into the Serpent's brain. Then it disappeared into nothingness.

His opponent reared its head up, in one final hiss.

And that alerted the rest of the Dune Serpents.

HISSSSSSSS~!!

The surrounding Dune Serpents awakened and roared in one collective hiss. They stuck their red, forked tongues out, using the in-built mechanism to sense the surroundings and determine the situation.

And soon they discovered their brethren's killer.
