=========================================
POV: Ryomen Sukuna
Why was I chosen to be in this world? I just appeared here one day, sleeping on a bed without warning, given all these powers which I did not earn.
I was born in an influential family, great parents, I got everything one could ever desire, but why do I still feel unsatisfied? What in my life is lacking that this feeling of emptiness haunts me?
"Sir, we have arrived," I heard the driver say in an emotionless tone.
I arrived at the house given to Eva by the Hunter Association after she joined them as an A-Rank Hunter.
As I have told my parents, we are going on a 'date'.
This date is very normal, definitely, indeed, that is why Eva is so tense and seems to be thinking deeply of something.
Anyhow, this normal date is located in a poor area in the outskirts of the city.
I told the driver to get off and took the car with myself, Eva sitting beside me.
.
Going to that town, we had to pass through mountains, which if I say were beautiful, it would be an understatement.
They looked like they were straight out of a painting, I stopped the car and got out.
Eva was confused but she followed.
I walked to a bench that was placed on the edge, for sightseeing probably, and sat down.
I motioned Eva to sit beside me, she happily complied.
The sight was breathtaking, hills adorned with beautiful wildflowers, the sun shining a golden glow over the little streams.
Eva's tension faded away as she looked at the view. Letting out a small sigh, she said:
"Isn't it beautiful?"
"It is," I replied, trying to distract myself from the emptiness within.
Eva's eyes turned to me, searching for my own.
"Why do you look so sad?" She asked, her voice dropping. "You didn't even change your expression when we were talking about what we are . . . going to do today."
She paused in between, remembering the plan I told her about, because of which she was so tense in the first place.
I sighed, not expecting her to notice.
Still looking at the horizon, I said:
"Eva, do you ever feel like something is missing, like your heart has a void that nothing can fill?"
She paused for a second before answering: "Yes I do . . . especially after what happened."
She was referring to the massacre of her family.
"But why do you feel so? It seems to me that you have it all."
"That's exactly it," I said, my tone going lower. "I have everything, but it feels that I have nothing."
I paused before I continued, "It's like I'm on a great journey, which doesn't have a destination"
Eva hesitated before placing her hand on mine.
"Then you just have to find that destination," she said, her voice gentle yet firm at the same time.
I looked at her, her eyes radiated confidence, the resolve that had kept her moving forward even after losing 'everything'.
I closed my eyes, a small smile tugged at the corner of my lips.
"We have spent too long here," I said, getting up and going back to the car. Eva followed a few seconds later.

We had reached the town, as it was quite a poor town, the people, especially children, basically swarmed around the luxury car, as if seeing something worth millions, which it was.
Anyhow, we told them that we were here just to explore and check out the poorer areas and people's lifestyles there.
The mayor of the town himself came to greet us and assigned a man as our guide.
The guide was quite respectful and easy to get along with.
He took us to all the important places in the town first. Thinking that this much sightseeing was enough, I asked him to take us to study the life of people.
He took us to an area which was better than slums, but still was too dirty for my liking.
.
Some children were playing some weird game with sticks in their hands.
The younger children were literally bathing in mud running around, trying to catch each other.
Almost all of the people here are incapable of using magic spells, knowing that people from the city had come, some children were extremely excited to see magic.
Eva was doing quite well with the children, honestly. They were having fun looking at her create ice out of thin air.
I was just staying in the background, until a group of children ran and latched onto me.
"Do you have cool magic too?" One of them asked, looking up to me.
The only thought I had at that time was, "Disgusting"
The dirt and grime on their faces and clothes made me recoil internally. Hiding my disdain, I forced a smile and knelt down to their level.
"I have much cooler magic than her, but you know, we'll save the best for the last"
Boom, perfect acting.
The children had both disappointed and eager expressions, as they requested (begged) me to show them right now.
In response, I just gazed onto the clouds, ignoring them.
They eventually left me alone, and I went to our guide and talked a bit, asking him to show me around the whole place.
We left Eva alone, it's not like she's in any danger anyway.
If some guy tries to jump on her, she'll just castrate him, that's what I told her to do at least.
The guide seemed a little uncomfortable with that revelation, but he just continued with his job.
We walked around for about an hour, I observed every single person there until we were back to Eva, who was now sitting on a bench, with the kids occasionally glancing at her.
Seeing us, she walked up to me and asked, "Anyone?"
"Nope," I answered, slight disappointment in my voice. "You?"
She shook her head. I noticed her looking a little nervous, so I just patted her head, something I learned to do with Elara.
"How do you feel?" I asked.
She understood what I was referring to and sighed, "A little overwhelmed"
"Well it is your first time in public seeing souls," I answered, my voice getting softer.
Yes, I did teach her about souls, very recently, though.
"You go, and when you reach, call me," I said, my voice colder than ever.
She just nodded and went to the car, driving away.
"She had an emergency with her family . . . yeah, with her family, and had to go," I told the guide, noticing my 'mistake'.
"No problem sir, would you like to rest a little?" The guide asked politely.
"Sure"
.
About 5 minutes later, while we both were resting, sitting on a table in a little restaurant, Eva's call came.
[I have reached the place you marked]
"Alright, I'll start then," I responded, my eyes glowing with a malicious light.
We went to the place where Eva was playing with the children again.
"Alright kids, you wanted to see my magic, right?"
At that, the children rushed to me.
"Now, now, stand a little back, give me space alright," I said, hiding my disdain again, and trying to get PERSONAL SPACE.
They obeyed and stood in anticipation.
"Okay, I'll do this magic only if you do it with me, so repeat after what I say, fine?" I asked a little loudly.
They all nodded excitedly as if getting ice cream.
"Alright, on the count of three, repeat after me"
