Aegis squinted, leaning back on his throne in silence, his mind a battlefield of conflicting thoughts.
'That's true,' he mused, 'but what if she gets carried away?'
He propped his chin on his left hand, eyes fixed on the floor as he debated whether to let things proceed as they were.
"Your Highness?" Thorne's voice broke the silence.
Aegis raised a hand, "Let me think," he replied grimly.
He took a deep breath before speaking again. "Nyx, this isn't a good idea. You might get carried away in the process. I know exactly how annoying my nephew can be," he grunted.
Nyx nearly snapped but forced herself to maintain her composure. "Well, Your Majesty, if that's what you believe, then you should be prepared to be overpowered by him at any moment," she said casually.
The elders exchanged horrified glances. Was she threatening the king?
Aegis blinked. "Excuse me?"
