Let's stop at the convience store

Nevertheless, as Isao started to drive, everyone calmed down and ate the bread that he and Kyoko had previously picked up in the cafeteria. While there were many types of foods, bread was convenient and easy to eat. Moreover, it could withstand normal temperatures for at least a few days. 

Yes, there might be some other instant foods that could be held for a long time, yet where would they find a place to prepare those damn instant foods?

Still, while the amount of food that Isao and Kyoko had was okay for the two, it wasn't enough to share with everyone on the bus. Yet, they were satisfied, and their trust in him was even stronger as Isao showed everything by action instead of just talking. 

If this was Shido, would he share all of his food? No way. He would keep all of them by himself. Still, in his mind, he thought that Isao had more food, but Isao didn't share it with everyone.

Then, Shido knew that he should have more chances for a comeback. The humiliation and pain he felt previously were still vivid. Even if everyone shunned and hated him, it didn't mean there was no room for a comeback, but when he thought about Isao...

Saying those words, Isao controlled the bus to crash into many of those "things" who were on the way. After killing many of them, he stopped the car and attracted everyone, especially when he stood up. 

"I am going to go to the convenience store to eat. If you want to follow, then follow. If you don't want to, then stay." 

By then, Isao didn't hesitate and exited the bus without any fear. Then, he took down all those "things" on the path before smoothly entering the convenience store. 

"...." Everyone. 

Kyoko was helpless, but she was the first one to follow Isao. This should be the case, but when she was about to go out, she saw Rei, who was also ready to go out.

The two were surprised and almost hit each other. Fortunately, they didn't fall, and while Kyoko was confused about why Rei would follow Isao first, Rei said, "Sensei, I will take the lead."

Yet everything was cleared up by Isao; only a few of those "things" were around. 

Moreover, as Isao had said before, as long as they were quiet, everything would be okay. 

The rest of the group looked at each other before they decided to follow Isao, especially the girls, but many guys chose to stay. 

Takashi hesitated but noticed the bus key, which was still in the driver's seat. He looked at Shido and happened to see Shido's shining eyes. Hesitating, he didn't know what to do before he decided to follow Isao and the rest, especially when Rei also had gone out. 

Takashi knew that he had disappointed everyone with so many mistakes, and he had to fix them up! 

Still, Isao didn't care about what was happening on the bus, and his focus had been on the convenience store before him. As he entered, some of those "things" were inside, and he smashed those who came toward him. Still, he didn't clear all of them up. Instead, his eyes were quickly attracted to all the corpses that remained within the convenience store. 

Isao was alone, and it was a rare chance for him since it gave him a chance to absorb one or two of those "things" into his body. Still, before that, he decided to destroy all the security cameras in this place, just in case.

As expected, when he accepted and absorbed those two, their corpses disappeared, and he gained their DNA, abilities, talents, experiences, and many others. Still, not every human has a talent, and many of us have hardly any unique ability or knowledge. 

However, there was no doubt that every one of us in this world had a special attribute that no one had. 

Still, Isao knew that he was lucky when he got the two. While those two people might seem like ordinary people, Miyabi Asahi was an ob-gyn, and Tanaka Masaki was a surgeon. 

Yet, that wasn't all since he also learned that he could gain the physical ability of the two corpses that he had absorbed and feel that he had become stronger. It wasn't much, though, as those two weren't exactly powerful, considering they were doctors who spent most of their time in the hospital.

Frankly, Isao had to say that his luck was good. He didn't expect to gain the knowledge, skills, and experiences of two types of doctors at the same time.

Still, his goal hadn't ended since there were many things that he needed to learn about his abilities, such as whether he could control a human. After absorbing flies, dogs, and cats, he gained the ability to control those three animals. Then what about humans?

"Rei... call me, Rei-senpai." 

Isao never expected the girl who would end up with the protagonist would be like this, yet why should he reject her?

"Okay, Rei-senpai. You can also call me Isao. Let's clear them up together, but be careful." 

"Yes, Isao-kun!" 

As long as Isao was there, Rei felt like she could do anything. 

By then, the two had worked together to take down all of those "things," creating a peaceful environment in this apocalyptic world.
