OSAYI'S POV—

"Mama," he said as his mother lead him further into the room, the waters of the magical fountain in the center making soothing the soothing splashing sounds he'd grown up with.

He was raised in that very room as a younger child, surrounded by the presence of the gods and guided by his mother. Not once stepping out for years as the gods trained him day in and day out from the moment he was born, his only human interaction being with his mother.

The first six years of his life with humanity had been so damn boring. The priests, his mother and the citizens of their empire had considered it a blessing. Osayi merely saw it as his prison, a place where he and his mother had been secluded from.

"Osayi," she'd said his name in a whisper, almost like a prayer, as she sat on a stool covered with greenery growing by the goddess of plants.
