Chapter 52- Don't Want It

"Hello," Fredrick said, grinning broadly.

"What is with you people?," Anna's head struck the desk as she groaned.

" It was your fault Delilah got hit earlier and here you are smiling like nothing happened!" Anna angrily yelled, slapping the table

With his head lowered, Fredrick muttered, "But I said I was sorry."

" Sorry your sister! We don't need it! Say what you will about her ankle, look at how swollen her palms are," Anna shot back.

" I am sorry" Fredrick apologized again.

" Anna, it's fine… classmate Frederick had apologized, and the matter has been resolved" Delilah gave Anna a gentle pat on the back. She was moved, as Anna seemed to be the last person she would have expected to support her.

" Un-" Anna nodded. " So, what do you want?" She questioned in a somewhat composed manner.

"I bought ointment for Delilah and lunch for you… both of you," Fredrick cheerfully said, pulling out the plastic bag behind him as his dejected expression brightened.

With the sun beaming behind him, his one-sided dimple, and his clear, sparkling eyes, he stood before them looking so stunningly good that it was nearly difficult to take one's eyes off him.

" W-what did you say?" Anna's eyes narrowed, and a sinister expression appeared on her face, but Fredrick was unfazed.

" I said I bought ointment for…"

With a firm "We do not want it," Delilah interrupted.

"Delilah," as Fredrick called her with beseeching eyes. Meanwhile, the students were unable to refrain from gossiping.

….

" Did you hear that? Delilah and Fredrick are in a relationship.

"

" I'm so jealous right now"

" Fools! Delilah is most definitely not worthy of Frederick. She is only capable of making things difficult for him; just picture Fredrick pleading to her. She is too conceited; I detest her."

With her face so flushed that blood almost seemed to be streaming from her nose, Anna opened her mouth to speak, but stopped when Delilah put her hand on her shoulder.

"Classmate Frederick, I do not want anything from you," Delilah said, glancing at him indifferently.

" But why?" Fredrick was perplexed; doesn't every girl desire items from attractive guys? Even though he knew Delilah did not like him as much, he still had to accept accountability.

With a chilly smile, Delilah said, "Because I do not want trouble from your VERY GOOD FRIEND," emphasizing the word "very good friend."

With a gleam in his eyes, he asked, "Why are you so afraid of her?"
