Glynn had no idea as she arrived at her home that she had been played by someone behind the scenes. At that moment, she was furious and brimming with rage. She couldn't believe that she who was the princess of the Nelson family was disrespected in such a manner.
Not only was she compared to Ariana, but she was also called a shrew! This was the greatest humiliation to Glynn, who had always thought herself superior to Ari in every manner.
"If only she was not related to me," Glynn muttered furiously. In her head, the reason she was embarrassed like that was because Ari was related to her by marriage, if she and her brother were not married, then Glynn wouldn't have been humiliated by Erica.
Glynn had always hated Ari because she reminded her of Erica. The woman who spread rumours and lies before snatching her boyfriend, whom Glynn loved very much. In her mind, she and Ariel were the same —— betrayed by those whom they trusted the most. Thus, just the very idea of being called a woman with no virtue while being compared to Ari was enough to make Glynn very unhappy.
"Miss Glynn, you are back?" The butler heard noises from the living hall and walked out of his room. He politely took away the jacket that Glynn had draped on her shoulders and asked, "Will you like a glass of warm milk? It will help you sleep."
"I would like a glass of someone's blood," she muttered angrily under her breath. The butler who was slightly old did not catch what she said and said, "I beg your pardon, Miss Glynn. I did not quite catch on that."
Glynn rolled her eyes at the butler. She took a deep breath before turning to look at the butler, whom she asked, "Where is my brother? I want to talk to him."
The butler did not understand why the young miss wanted to meet her brother at such an hour, but he still replied professionally, "Master Noah is currently not at home. He said something about Madam and that he was going to get her, apart from that I have no idea."
"You mean to say that my brother is still looking for that woman?" Glynn questioned Harrison, who blinked his eyes and slowly nodded. He had a feeling that the woman in front of him was close to exploding, but as the butler of the Nelson family, he couldn't possibly ignore her.
He swallowed his fear and replied, "It appears so."
Harrison was right, Glynn indeed exploded. The very second she heard that Noah was searching for Ari at one in the morning, she threw the clutch in her hand onto the table. It knocked the vase sitting on the glass table, causing it to shatter into pieces.
Because of Ari, she was disrespected and called degrading names, and yet, her brother was looking for her in the dead of the night like a madman!
'No, I cannot let this go on anymore! If this continues, then my brother will dance on the fingertips of that woman,' Glynn thought angrily.
"What about my mother? Did she agree to this?" Glynn continued grilling Harrison, who was on the verge of crying. He wished that she would let him off, but Glynn was in no mood to show mercy. She tapped her heel on the floor while crossing her arms and demanded, "Well?"
"She did. Old Madam also asked Master Noah to bring Madam back as soon as possible," Harrison could only accept his fate as he told the truth to Glynn, whose face if possible turned even purple.
Even her mother agreed? Her mother had always cared for Noah, her mother's heart would break if Noah was to skip a meal. Yet, she asked her mother to look for Ari at such an hour.
What was going on with this family?
"They have gone mad! All of them!" Glynn stormed past Harrison, who heaved a sigh of relief. At least this time around, he escaped from getting slapped.
On the third floor, Glynn wanted to head over to her mother's room and demand what she and Noah were thinking, but then she stopped. Even though Glynn didn't understand a lot of things, she knew that her brother and mother did not want the divorce to happen.
But that was not what Glynn wanted, she wanted Ari gone from the house. Away from her life such that she could live in peace, with Ari divorced and removed from her family, no one would compare her to that damned woman.
What was more, Glynn did not believe that a woman like Ari would appear in the high class ever again once Noah divorced her. With her low status, and no decent job in her hands, Ari would have to go back to her poor life.
A sharp and calculating glint flashed in Glynn's eyes as she strode over to the study that belonged to her brother. Fortunately, apart from Ariana, Noah was not suspicious of anyone.
Thus, Glynn could sneak inside the study with ease. The alarm did not ring either as she was identified by the security cameras. Noah, who had trusted his sister, would have never thought that his sister would one day stab him in the back and begin the onslaught of his damnation.
But that was precisely what Glynn was doing at the moment.
As soon as Glynn entered the study, she started to search for the divorce documents. From the shelves to the safe, she looked everywhere but did not find them. It wasn't until Glynn pulled open the drawers of the table where Noah worked did she found the divorce documents.
They were buried at the end of the drawers as if Noah wanted to bury the hatchet altogether.
"He did not even sign it!" Glynn exclaimed grimly as she looked at the documents. Ari's signature was there, but her brother had not even touched the tip of the pen on the paper!
Glynn clenched the papers in her hands and muttered, "You cannot blame me, brother, that woman has to go at any cost."
