CHAPTER 27

When this issue with King Jamal had come up, she realized that things might never go back to the way that they used to be. After they had gotten into a fight, Dominic had left the house and it was only after his return hours after Rosie had gone to work that she found out that King Jamal had asked to see him.

"What did he want?" Halo had asked.

"Doesn't matter. Don't worry about it" He responded but his expression didn't look like one that was far from worry.

"Damn right, it matters. We are in this mess together"

"Because of me and I get it Halo. But it doesn't concern you anymore. I made this mess and I'll fix it"

"So you got over twenty million lying around somewhere that I don't know about?"

"You know that I don't"

"Then you need to start telling me what it is that the man that you stole from, the same man that has the power to kill us both wanted in return for his stolen property"

"It doesn't matter Halo!"
