[Third Person's PoV]
As Lucian flew back Thalia aimed her spear towards the sky causing Lightning to crackle and fall down straight onto her spear. She swung her spear down causing the Lightning to follow her movements.
Lucian made a swiping motion with his staff creating a wall between, as the Lightning hit the wall, rocks and stones flew everywhere, blocking Thalia's view, she then saw a shadow in front of her causing her to look up.
In the air Lucian was taking a deep breath which caused his chest to puff out. With his cheeks inflated, he started blowing out black flames from his mouth, which made their way towards Thalia.
Thalia, seeing this, started spinning around with her spear creating a large tornado of wind blocking the dark flames.
Seeing what Thalia was doing Lucian punched the air sending a blast of fire upwards which propelled him downwards getting to the ground quickly.
Once the flames stopped Thalia sent the tornado that she created towards Lucian, who created a storm of his own made out of dust, causing them to clash creating a dust explosion.
Thalia used the shield to cover her eyes before sending a large gust of wind to blow everything away. She then surrounded her entire body with electricity while Lucian covered his entire body in darkness.
They both disappeared from where they were standing and clashed their weapons in the middle. They were moving so fast all they left behind were dark smoke trails and Lightning flashing around them.
As they fought they kept getting higher and higher into the sky. Normally such a thing would have frightened Thalia due to her phobia of heights but at the moment her obsession to win against Lucian outweighed her fears.
Everything seemed inconsequential to Thalia, it was as if she was in a zone. The only thing on her mind was to beat Lucian, nothing else mattered.
She doesn't know where her obsession came from, maybe it's because they were both children of the big three, maybe it's because she believes she's older than him she needs to win but that didn't matter at the moment…only winning mattered.
In the sky the colors is black and blue keep flashing clashing against each other. Occasionally one would see the sparks caused by the clash of their weapons before disappearing as they moved.
Lucian decided that it was enough, grabbed his staff with both his hands and swung it towards Thalia with a great force. Thalia had no choice but to block it with her shield, but all it ended up doing was sending her falling towards the ground at a great speed, leaving behind a light blue trail of lightning as she crashed onto the ground creating a large crater with her in the middle of it.
A large amount of spit and saliva came out of Thalia as she landed back onto the ground, meanwhile Lucian softly landed on the crater he created.
He stood in front of Thalia with a smirk and extended his hand towards her with a smile. "It was a good fight"
Thalia groaned as she tried to get up, She then looked at Lucian in confusion, "What are you talking about, we're not done! You haven't won yet"
Lucian smirked as he looked down on Thalia, he proceeded to nonchalantly point behind him with his thumb, basically telling her to 'take a look'
Thalia was at first confused but leaned to the side to look behind Lucian. As she did her eyes widened in shock, there was another Lucian sitting arrogantly on an obsidian throne with a red flag leaning on him.
When Lucian noticed her looking at him he gave her a wink. And with that the horn was blown signifying that the game has come to an end.
Thalia who has stood up then looked at The Lucian in front of her who was still smirking, he then started to dissolve into a white mist as he said, "Aren't illusions great"
"Since when?" Thalia asked in shock but before she could say anything she heard multiple people shouting, they all came running towards them.
As they arrived they went towards Lucian and picked him up, "OOOOOOHHHHH YEAHHHHH! LUCIAN!"
"LUCIAN!"
"LUCIAN!"
"LUCIAN!"
"LUCIAN!"
"LUCIAN!"
They kept shouting his name as they threw him in the sky celebrating their victory, Lucian laughed as he waved their opponents flag in the air.
Thalia then started to look dejected which she then felt a pat of her back, she turned to look at who it was and saw it was Annabeth.
"Since when was I under his illusion?" Thalia asked her, still feeling a bit dejected.
"Since the dust explosion, he used that as a cover and surrounded the area with the mist and dove into his shadow. While you continued fighting the illusion he reappeared with the flag in his hands and summoned a throne from underground and just sat on it waiting."
Thalia let out an exasperated sigh as she turned towards Luke who was standing still with an awkward expression on his face and multiple cuts on his body.
"What happened to him?"
"My dagger is enchanted with paralysis"
"How have we known you for this long and not known about it?"
"I was mostly fighting automatons so there wasn't really an opportunity to us it and all of the monsters we fought were rather weak and were easy to one shot"
Thalia then looked towards Lucian who was enjoying his victory celebration with everyone, "He sure is enjoying himself isn't he?"
Annabeth facepalms when she sees Lucian taking off his armor, then his shirt and waving it around in the air, "This is his first win so I guess he's pretty pleased with himself"
Thalia then looked around and noticed that none of her teammates were nowhere to be seen, "Where is everyone else?"
Annabeth at first looked confused before understanding what happened, so she turned towards the cheering entourage, cupped her mouth, and yelled out, "YOU GUYS FORGOT TO FREE OUR PRISONERS FROM THEIR 'PRISON'!"
They stopped what they were doing and slowly turned towards Annabeth giving her an awkward smile, "Sorry we got carried away"
They then put Lucian down, who put his shirt back on and went towards their captured prisoners releasing them.
And while releasing them Lucian was with his group of friends carrying the flag and looking at Thalia smugly causing her to roll her eyes at him.
"You're so annoying" Thalia grumbled.
It was then Lucian's turn to roll his eyes, "Oh please, if it was you that would have won you would have been the same, if not worse"
The others soon returned looking pleased with themselves and they all went to enjoy a satisfactory dinner.
