Chapter 241: Light (Part 2) _1

Sakaar is not a normal planet, nor could one say the Taeyo Star System is a regular star system. It is enveloped in a dense array of cosmic channels where natural forces do not dictate the progress of civilization.

Sakaar is a satellite of the enormous planet hanging in the sky, its climate is extremely arid; it never rains and there are no storms or thunder. Therefore, when the sound of thunder echoed, all the Sakarans were oblivious to its origin.

The gladiatorial arena started to panic, someone shouted, "The earth is splitting, the God of the Earth is angry!"

Another cried, "Another massive meteor is coming, run!"

The Red King told the guards behind him to ceaselessly tap their spears, saying, "Do not panic! The earth cannot split, we have anti-meteor weapons!"

No matter what he said, the intense noises continued to grow in strength. The sound of thunder is the most powerful and oppressive in all of nature. When layers of dark clouds covered the sky, everyone realized that chaos was imminent.

The High Lord looked up, his hair billowing in the wind. The familiar sound triggered memories of his fleeting glimpse at the edge of Centaurus. The same thunder, the same power... Since that day, one name has resounded through Centaurus - God King Odin.

His gaze fell on the long spear in Thor's hands, giving him a very bad feeling. He murmured to himself, "It's impossible... Gungnir is Odin's weapon..."

Despite his thoughts, a giant storm began to gather at the tip of the spear in Thor's hand. An enormous whirlpool extended from the tip of the spear to the sky, stirring the dark clouds and summoning the wild wind.

Everything in the gladiatorial arena started rotating and dancing with the storm. Clothes, banners, and hair fluttered in the wind, then sand, planks, and bricks started to lift off, swirling like a school of fish in the ocean.

Finally, the Sakarans and the entire gladiatorial arena.

Dark clouds covered the sky, and the wind howled, the thunder grew louder and louder. On the gladiatorial arena, only the High Lord, the Red King and those around them could still stand on the ground. Everyone else had been swept off by the roaring hurricane, their whereabouts unknown.

A magical light started blinking around the High Lord. He gritted his teeth and said, "If your father, God King Odin himself came here, I might have spoken with him. But you, an Aesir with no divine position..."

As he spoke, a storm of psychic power began to swirl around him. His blue skin looked even weirder under the influence of magic. He levitated into the air, and then multiple magic light balls spread out around him. As he spread his arms, the light balls interconnected to form a large net. The magical power surged out, seemingly trying to stop the storm.

The strong hurricane only stopped for a moment, then became even more violent.

The power of the storm and the god of weather fully returned to Thor, even more than before. The High Lord unleashed even more power. The Red King opposite him also sprang into the air, using his spear to attack Thor in the storm's center.

But during the release of divine power, no one could stop this violent force.

Originally, the divine power of an auxiliary god wasn't enough to harm a powerful being like the High Lord. However, the High Lord felt the sharpness of willpower within the storm, which directly cut into the soul. He could only put up a magic barrier to block the storm outside.

Prince Asya, behind the Red King, seeing that his father and the powerful High Lord could only oppose the divine power eruption, turned his gaze to Loki lying on the ground. He then yelled to his father, "Your Majesty! Seize that Asgardian! Grab his brother!"

The Red King looked down at Loki. He lay unconscious in the eye of the storm, and the Red King braved the storm's blast with his powerful physical strength. He leapt from the high platform and rushed toward Loki in the storm's eye.

At the moment of the divine power eruption, the impact affected everyone in the gladiatorial arena; Thor himself was the most affected.

When Odin's sealed divine power returned, the immense impact made him lose control of himself. At this moment, the Red King took advantage of the situation and grabbed Loki.

When all the divine power returned, a light streaked across the distant sky, and Thor's hammer Mjölnir appeared in the sky above the gladiatorial arena. Just as it tried to return to its master to fight alongside the restored Thor, it didn't wait for Thor's summons.

On the contrary, after the initial impact of the divine power explosion had passed, the hurricane began to gradually calm down. The sound of thunder still echoed in the sky, and the dark clouds hadn't dispersed, but the divine power storm gradually dissipated.

The Red King gripped Loki's neck, standing opposite Thor, and said to Thor, "You've destroyed my gladiatorial arena. Whoever you are, you must pay a price."

It seemed Loki had lost consciousness, only his blood kept gushing out. Thor silently looked at the Red King. The storm still had not subsided in his eyes, making the Red King feel a sharp pain with each glance.

At this point, the High Lord descended from the high platform and said, "Capture the brothers. God King Odin will be happy to have a good talk with us."

The Red King revealed a malicious smile, asking the High Lord, "He is the successor of Asgard, so the one in my hand is useless, right?"

As he spoke, his arm began to tighten. Loki was now in the same predicament as Thor, choked by the Red King and struggling to breathe.

Mjölnir, glowing with the radiance of thunder, hovered above Thor's head, ready to be seized by Thor and once again become a powerful divine artifact, fighting alongside him as it used to, making him the bravest warrior of Asgard.

But now, Thor wanted something different.

He did not reach out for Mjölnir. His grip on the long spear in his hands tightened. As his eyes narrowed, the thunder from the horizon grew louder and louder, until it became a deafening roar even for the High Lord and the Red King.

The moment Thor lifted his arm, a massive thunderbolt burst from the spear in his hand, illuminating the entire sky above Sakaar.

The intense brightness of the small planet against the dark cosmic void triggered a tempest of lightning that wrapped around the entire planet, lighting up the cosmos.

At that moment, the brightness of the tiny planet outshone even the stars.

Thunder was the first light in the universe born out of chaos.

The intense brightness forced the High Lord to shield his eyes with his arm. As the storm of lightning resurged, the High Lord yelled, "Are you out of your mind, Thor? Are you challenging Odin for the title of the God of Thunder?!"

Thor, holding the spear and drawing the power of thunder into his hand, replied, "I'm not challenging…"

"The divine titles of your Aesir are evolutions of the origin power of the cosmos. There can only be one who completely controls the power of thunder, and Odin won't let you do this. He is the true God King…"

"I told you, I am not challenging for the divine title of Thunder God."

The High Lord cursed in his mother language, but he could not continue to argue. The rampant thunder burst forth from Thor's body, instantly destroying everything around it.

"He's gone mad, he's gone mad!"

"What on earth is going on?" asked the Red King.

"I have told you, the divine titles of Asa's gods are 'natural' evolutions of the origin power of the cosmos, and this kind of power is extremely powerful, especially when the divine power explodes…"

"This madman is trying to take control of the thunder, he wants to seize the divine title of Thunder God! Odin will punish him!"

The High Lord's portal had not opened yet, and the violent storm of thunder swept across, sending people flying before crashing onto the ground.

But then, the violent rampage of Thor's thunder power they had anticipated never arrived.

Suddenly, the world was calm, even the wind had stopped, leaving only the ruins around them, a testament that all that had just happened was not an illusion.

High Lord looked upward at the darkening clouds that blocked the light of all stars, creating a realm of almost complete darkness where tiny sparks of lightning flickered.

After countless light points lit up, it was like the depths of starry space. Suddenly, in the center of the darkness, a small spark of fire ignited.

The High Lord squinted. It seemed like he saw some illusory shadows. The spark of fire danced, first becoming a torch moving forward in the dark cave. Then there were people dancing around the bonfire, stoves, transportation, buildings, space ships, and the furnace of stars…

The fire of civilization lit up between universe after universe, weaving all civilizations in between the stars into a giant web, with the spark of fire dancing faster and the flame growing brighter, from the original star fire to a blazing ocean of flame.

If lightning is the first light that lit the universe, fire is the first force that ignited civilization. If lightning symbolizes the beginning and starting point, then fire symbolizes development and prosperity.

When these two forces merge together, a part of the power of creation is fully displayed.

Lightning for light, fire for clarity, when the powers of thunder and fire are united as one -

Light descends.
