"Family Head, family head!" Urgently, a tall young man in his apparent 30s rushed in, calling for the head of his family. He had been assigned to monitor Orange Field City for Rasoul and his friends' arrival and had been on watch duty for the past month, anticipating Rasoul and his companions.
A few hours ago, after Rasoul and his companions left the Tomb, they made their way directly to Orange Field City to visit the Princess and Vira before planning to return to the Dark Forest. However, their presence caught the attention of the spy left by the Seven Great Families. Quickly, he returned to the capital to inform the Charles family of the unfolding developments.
"Who's that? And if you know what's best for you, you better have a good explanation for causing such a ruckus," a man, easily recognizable by Rasoul, spoke up promptly.
He happened to be one of the Seven Assassins sent by the seven great families with a mission to assassinate Rasoul and his companions. However, after their failed attempt was exposed, he was posted as a guard in the main mansion of the Charles Great Family, serving as a punishment for his shortcomings.
"Senior Brother Draven, please inform the Head that I've got information on the whereabouts of the three individuals we're after." These words escaped his lips without hesitation. Draven promptly relayed a mental note to his Master before informing the family head. His responsibility was to keep Rasoul informed about the ongoings within the Charles Great Family.
He had collaborated with the other assassins from the other families to share information regarding the safety of their Master, Rasoul.

The great families routinely convened in the same meeting room, and once again, they gathered to discuss the unexpected news they had received. The Charles family wasn't alone in deploying spies to monitor the happenings in Orange Field City.
Tension permeated the room as they all understood the gravity of the situation; this was no laughing matter. They still believed that Rasoul had gained control over the 27 generals and could command them at his whim.
Their assembly aimed to decide whether to involve other families from rival kingdoms. The Morris family head was absent from the meeting, having chosen not to pursue this matter further.
"We all know why we're here, so let's not waste more time. The three pests we're after are now in Orange Field City. This confirms our suspicion that they were the ones who completed the trial and gained access to the Legacy left behind by General Nino," Old Charles declared as he initiated the meeting.
"Let's assume they've got the Legacy and now have the power to command 27 Great Sage cultivators. Shouldn't we be considering moving forward with our plan? We can't tackle them solo; we need support from others, so I think it's about time we reach out to the other families," Old John suggested, still eager to involve the other seven great families from rival kingdoms.
"That's a great idea, Old Johnson, but you should know this won't be as easy as we thought. You know the rivalry between our kingdom and the others; involving them will come at a cost. They won't dispatch their best without assurance.
|It's a huge risk for them, and they won't want to fall into any trap we might have set up. I suggest we delve deeper into this before taking action," Old Xian advised. His family specialized in espionage, and he understood the risks of trusting an enemy.
"Getting cold feet, Old Xian? Will you pull an Old Moris and run off when the stakes reach new heights?" Old Johnson spoke in a tone that carried a hint of sarcasm.
"Hey Old Johnson, I've got to tell you straight up, it seems like your brain is taking a back seat here. You're diving into this situation thinking it's a piece of cake, but let me tell you, it's far from that.
Do you get how serious this is? We're allying with enemy kingdoms, and if the King catches wind of it, we could be labeled as traitors. Old Moris is playing it smart by staying quiet, but if we mess up, our lives are on the line.
It's time to switch gears, Old Johnson. Think with your head, not your heart. Old Xian shot back at Old Johnson, pointing out the need to be smart about things.
"Well, I dare to share my ideas. How about you? With your intelligence, what brilliant plan have you come up with to outsmart those three pests?" Old Johnson challenged, expressing his displeasure with Old Xian's tone. As anticipated, Old Xian remained silent.
"That's what I assumed. Despite all the boasting about your intelligence, you couldn't come up with a plan to handle three youngsters quickly. It's truly a disgrace to a distinguished family head," Old Johnson concluded, his expression filled with disdain.
"Whether or not you choose to assist, I'm proceeding with the plan. Unlike you, I'm willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish the task. The rest of you can continue to play along," Old Johnson asserted.
His heightened determination to involve other kingdoms raises the question: Is he solely driven by the desire for Rasoul's Legacy, or are there additional motives at play?
"Besides sheer strength, Old Johnson, what else do you bring to the table? We all aim to achieve the mission, but employing brute force, as you suggest, might only cause more problems.
"Remember, our past reliance on brute force yielded no results. Do you anticipate a different outcome now? Underestimating our adversaries, fueled by arrogance as the Seven Great Families, has been our downfall. Maybe it's time we consider the repercussions of our choices before acting," Old Charles interjected.
"Oh, so now everyone wants to give up, is that the stance? Are you even paying attention to your own words? We're deliberating on bringing in not just one but six kingdoms to pursue three children who may not even have the Legacy we're after. Instead of indulging in unnecessary talks, why don't we focus on something practical, like determining if they command the 27 Dark Generals?" suggested Old Johnson, and this time, the other family heads agreed with him.
"Alright, that's enough," Old Charles stated. "Let's remember that we are the Seven Great Families, and we should act in unison. Instead of bickering, let's devise strategies to strengthen our families by reclaiming what rightfully belongs to us. We cannot permit those pests to make off with our legacy."
"Given the Xian family's expertise in espionage, they'll verify whether those three possess the Legacy. We'll also collaborate with other families for a potential short-term alliance. Old Johnson will head to the Porter Kingdom, Old Oslo to the Rainy Kingdom, Old Cilas to the Valenciennes Kingdom, Old Xian to the Everglade Kingdom, and Old Bino to the Eldoria Kingdom. I'll go to the Azulmar Kingdom.
We need to act swiftly because if those three get wind of our plans, they'll flee. Let's proceed with caution and catch them off guard," declared Old Charles, solidifying his leadership among the Seven Great Families in the Sundance Kingdom.
Little did these leaders know, that the assassins they trusted the most to attend their meetings were, in fact, slaves secretly working for the one they were conspiring against. All along, they had been providing Rasoul with constant updates.
Rasoul, recognizing his insufficient manpower to confront all the great families in the Human Empire at the same time, decided to act quickly after hearing the report from his Slaves...
He directed his slaves to communicate his willingness to meet and negotiate with the family heads. Acknowledging that involving the other kingdoms too early would jeopardize his plans, he made the only rational choice that would soon define the lengths he'd go to protect those he cherished.

Far from the Sundance Kingdom and the Human Empire, ten individuals stealthily maneuvered through a dense, dark forest as they pressed onward toward the empire. They found themselves approximately 7 kilometers from the forest's outer boundary, drawing closer to their target. Their mission was straightforward: locate the Supreme One and his subordinates and eliminate them.
In the early days of the Primal Universe, races tainted by anti-matter lingered. These beings, known as the Dark Ones, were driven by the mission to hunt down and slay the Supreme One before his ascent to godhood. Lara's awakening of her Celestial Bloodline caught the attention of this order, prompting them to dispatch a lethal group of assassins to the Human Empire.
Departing from the Elvin Empire three months prior, they continued their relentless journey, fully aware of the paramount importance of their mission to the Dark Order—an order soon to become Rasoul's mortal foe.
At this point, Rasoul remained oblivious to the looming threat of the ten sages pursuing him and his subordinates. The individuals coming after him also don't know who they are after; all they know is the awakening is in the human empire.
=====
In Orange Field City, unaware of the imminent threat closing in, Rasoul resolved to take decisive action against the Seven Great Families in the Sundace Kingdom first before returning to the Dark Forest.
His goal was to establish new subordinates before devising plans. Rasoul understood that the key to confronting danger directly was to have a robust support system, and, for him, his subordinates served as that support. He aspired to have his own set of 27 generals who would accompany him into battle.
Everything was unfolding as per Rasoul's plan until the system presented him with a choice that couldn't be easily rejected.
