Chapter 31: Eating Breakfast Prepared by the General, Part 2

"I learned it when I'm still young. My father said that as a sentinel, I needed to learn how to cook so that I could cook for my future partner."

"Your father also knows how to cook?"

"Yes, it seems that all the sentinels of the Vespertine family needed to know how to cook.

As soon as I awakened as a sentinel, my father started teaching me how to cook whenever he had time.

He said that it is considered one of Vespertine's family traditions. We needed to learn to cook for our future partners."

"I see. Then does that mean you are only cooking for me?" Ryzel asked curiously. 

"Yes, of course. You are my partner, so I should be cooking for you," Layton Lewis answered seriously.

After hearing his answer, Ryzel didn't ask anything anymore and just observed how Layton cooked.

He doesn't have any expectations from this marriage, but being treated well still makes him a little bit happy.

After fifteen minutes, Layton finished cooking.
