"Alex, you're here," Dunice said as she walked over to him.
"Yes, baby," he replied, pecking her on the lips.
"Hope grandma arrived safely?" he asked.
"Yes, she did," Dunice replied as they stepped into the inner part of the sitting room.
"I'm hungry," he said.
"What do you want to eat? I could make you noodles," Dunice offered.
"I'd rather eat you," Alex said, causing Dunice to gasp in surprise.
She ran over to him and covered his mouth with her hand. He licked her hands and she immediately removed it blushing hard.
He then picked her up and gently placed her on the kitchen counter, cradling her in his arms. With a tender touch, he brushed away the strands of hair that had fallen onto her face.
"Now that granny isn't staying here anymore, it's just you and Alix," he said, flashing her a wicked grin.
"Yes," she replied, raising her eyebrows in anticipation, her heart racing at the way he was staring at her.
