Howard wasn't so pleased with the way his wife was handling things, knowing that it could backfire if Richmond decided to walk out on them.
They were supposed to give their son room to air his mind, before advising him as parents. But the way Carol was getting too emotional was ruining things.
Clearing his voice, Howard patted his wife on the shoulder, to calm down, before addressing his son.
"Richie, I'm sorry if you feel offended by Ian's parent's presence here. I was the one who asked them to come over because there were things we all needed to deal with before we went into the main discussion of the evening. So if you want to be angry at anyone, let that person be me."
Richmond weighed his father's apology on a mental scale and decided to overlook his mom's aggressive behaviour.
"It's okay, Dad and I'm sorry Mum, for losing my temper with the wrong people." Richmond shifted his gaze to Ian's parent.
