Delusional

Jasmine blew out forced air through her mouth to release her anxiety.

"Look here, Mr Cole, whatever happened last night between us was a big mistake. I was drunk and unhappy and I needed company. I can't remember most of the things I said to you but thanks anyway for giving me a shoulder to cry on. Irrespective of my foolishness, I still love my fiance so much and I'm getting married to him next week Saturday. So, if this is okay by you, I'd like us to pretend that we never met."

Jasmine's soft, yet harsh words hit Cole on the chest like a boulder crashing down a mountain.

"You called what we shared last night a big mistake?"

"Oh come on!" Jasmine massaged her banging forehead in frustration. She had already had enough on her plate and there was no space for Cole's dissatisfaction.

"Alright," Cole spoke in a more serious voice. You wanted to know if your decision was okay by me. Well, here is my answer. It is, NO. I want more. I want you."
