Chapter 316 : Orphanage

"Please Mr Wick, feel free to stay here if you wish. We don't mind at all."

Orion pondered the preposition hard, the place was decent, it was not like this was the first time he would be staying in an Orphanage, but he really didn't want to intrude on them, not to mention he just couldn't stay in here for long either.

The kind of work he was here for, both finding Eric and training, will require him to stay away from Muggles. So he was about to deny the offer, it was generous of them they offered it in the first place, though Orion had a feeling that the woman, the so-called adoptive mother was planning on extracting more money from him in this way.

He technically wouldn't mind seeing he can produce more than what the entire American population can use in a year with just a snap. But still… he rather not stay here.

Just when he was about to refuse, he saw the lady, whose name was Marry Lau Barebones, 'Aka' the adoptive mother, calling out a boy who just entered.

"Credence… goodness where were you all this time. Come here and greet Mr Wick." Called out the woman.

Orion who was just about to refuse stopped himself from uttering any words, his eyes were now on the man in front of him.

'Credence… I know this name…' Orion immediately entered into his mind palace to search for anything regarding this person, and he was right. He does know this person, to keep all relevant information in his mind so that he can use the info anytime he very early on when he learns Mind Palance goes through all the Harry Potter Movies he remembered from his mind.

This was among those movies, it's not technically a Harry Potter movie though, it was the sequel.

'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.'

There were three movies as much as he remembered, he barely remembered but about those movies as he never watched those movies with much attention. But he remembers this boy in front of him.

Because this was none other than the main focus of the first two movies.

'Ahmmm, I was so far indulged with my own affairs that I almost forgot that I came to the start of another of J.K's masterpieces.

Though calling this a masterpiece would be a stretch seeing how this movie didn't do anywhere close to the Harry Potter ones.

Oh… another interesting relaxation, just realized that we two are blood relatives. Interesting…

Yup… Credence just like me was also a Dumbledore.' Orion muses, as he tries to sense the boy's magic.

It was powerful, nothing when compared to the likes of Dumbledore, Grindelwald or Voldemort, let alone him or Merlin but he has potential.

"If you insist Madam Marry then I will." Orion replied, bringing the woman's attention back to him.

"Wonderful, then place get ready. You have brought so much food, let's get ready for supper." Said the woman with a smile on her face.

"Chastity, Modesty help me ready the supper, and Credence you. Why no you give our guess some company here." Said the woman before taking her two daughters to the kitchen.

Good thing because Orion wanted to talk with Credence anyway. "Credence huh, that's a good name… I am John Wick. Nick to meet you." Orion extended his hand which Credence nervously took, he was a little awkward, and when shaking Orin's hand like this might be the first time he was doing this. Orion just smiled at this, that was completely fine. This also explains that Credence is just that much isolated from the outside world up to this point.

"Nice to..to meet you. I am Credence Barebones." Credence said with a little shutter in his voice. It was clear that the boy was nervous.

"Nice to meet you two… how old are you credence. You look very." Orion was right now acting and treating the man like a junior.

Makes sense seeing right now he was acting as John Wick who was in his early 20s.

"I'm 18." He responded and Orion nodded.

'Still older than me. God damn it…'

'Maybe this what I would have been if I remained in that Orphanage… I am not very fond of my current like but I am glad that I did what I did back then.'

"So Credence, how have been yours and others' life here in this place. I hope you all are happy here." Orion then goes on to make some small talk with Credence.

He to let the man, open up to him.

The Dinner was a dull affair, even though it was apparent that the kids were excited about the new clothes, tasty food and gifts Orion bought for them but none were talking about it, it was also apparent why.

That lady started glaring at them the moment they opened their mouth, let alone say anything. Quite strict, first-time Orion felt that Hogwarts was better in this regard.

She was mostly letting Orion talk, kind of putting more importance on him as a guest and a person who has a lot of money. Makes sense in a way.

So, Orion uses that instead to help those kids out.

"This pasta is delicious… Ms Marry, I have to say that you have noticeable cooking talent." Orion reply making the woman smile for the first time.

"And of course yours two helpers…" Orion glances at the two little girls making them smile as well.

"Oh, that's just you being too nice Mr Wick."

"No no…madam, it's really good. I remember getting something very similar the last time I was travelling from Africa to India. The chief in the ship was excellent and after eating yours I can't help but remember that…

That was also quite a journey back then." Orion said making others' eyes light up. A little girl finally took the bait and asked what happened in the ship and one another asked about my travels.

Orion was waiting for that, then even after Ms Marry gave them a stern look, Orion explained the story.

"Ah, that's a good story, You might like it. Have you ever heard of a Mummy…" Orion said while smiling. Knowing that the kids gonna love this movie's story.

I honestly didn't like the fantastic beasts movies as much as Harry Potter series. What about you guys ?
