Chapter 209 : Spain 2

Just as Orion began to digest the valuable information Javier had shared, the walls of the small, cluttered tavern shook with a violent explosion. The ground trembled beneath them, and the distant sounds of shouting and spellfire erupted into the air. Orion's heart raced as he realized what was happening.

"Grindelwald" 

Javier jumped to his feet, his face pale with fear. "We need to get out of here, now!" he yelled over the noise.

Orion nodded, though he is John Wick now, his instincts kicking in. He grabbed Javier by the arm, and they rushed out of the office into the main room of the tavern. The scene outside was utter chaos.

Dark wizards in black robes clashed with Aurors, this might be the 10th time that they were colliding.

The biggest problem here was that Grindelwald forces were actually equal to this country's Aurors.

Spells flying in every direction. Fiery blasts and bright flashes of light filled the air, illuminating the frightened faces of the few patrons who hadn't already fled.

"Stay close!" Orion shouted to Javier as they ducked behind an overturned table. They needed to get out of the conflict zone, but every exit seemed blocked by duelling wizards.

Dark curses were flying left and right. 

"All of them are at least as strong as Snape. 

The hell they are not holding back at all." Orion mutters under his breath. He thought have seen powerful people but had never seen them fight before today. 

The tavern's windows shattered as a spell hit them, sending shards of glass raining down. Orion shielded him and Javier with a simple move of his hand, preventing all the spells and debris from reaching them. He glanced around, looking for a way out.

[I thought you would join the fight. This actually was a good place to test out your powers you know] Merlin said on the side.

'You kidding me, are you honestly telling me to put fire in the fuel? And who I am supposed to fight in the first place.' Orion retorted. 

[Hey it's just a suggestion. Not only anyone can stop you from leaving. Law and Space and all. It's just a good chance to test out your magic in a battle.] Merlin said and Orion pondered over it.

"There!" he pointed to a side door, partially hidden behind a fallen beam. "We can make it through there!"

They sprinted towards the door, but before they could reach it, a dark wizard spotted them. "Avra Ke....!" the wizard shouted, aiming his wand at them.

Orion reacted quickly, extending his hand he stopped the curse mid-way before deflecting the magical beam of light towards another dark wizard aiming for them.

The force of the impact knocked the dark wizard off balance killing him, giving them a precious few seconds to escape.

Bursting through the side door, Orion and Javier found themselves in a narrow alleyway. The sounds of the battle still raged behind them, but at least they were momentarily out of the crossfire.

Or that is what they think, the entire place right now was under war. For some reason Grindelwald wanted control here unlike decades ago when he attacked, he only attacked to destroy and get more powerful.

"We need to keep moving," Javier panted, though wizards are better in the health department when compared to muggles thanks to their magic but wizards take that for granted, never exercising even relying a little too much on potions to keep them on top-notch shape. Orion had never been more happy and more proud of his diligent effort to keep himself fit than today.

Javier glancing back nervously said. "They won't give up that easily."

"You killed that dark wizard, they will come after for sure. We need to go." Javier reply. 

He right now had many questions. The man just stops the killing curse with his bare hands. Who can do that? 

Honestly, Javier was thinking of Ditching John (Orion) behind but upon seeing it was John who was helping him escape first, he kept quiet and now, even if someone gives him galleons to leave his side, he not gonna. 

What's more secure in this world than standing beside the man who can deflect killing curses? 

Even wizards in the likes of Dumbledore, Grindelwald and voldemort can't do that. 

Killing Curse after all can't be blocked, it can only be dodged. 

So yes he had many questions but Javier kept his mouth shut. This wasn't the right time.

Orion nodded, his mind racing. He knew they had to get to safety, but the streets were crawling with dark wizards.

In front of them stands the Aurors of this country and behind the dark wizards from Grindelwald fraction.

They ducked and weaved through the labyrinth of alleys, trying to stay hidden. But for how long? 

[Why even worry so much about that? Just go on the offensive.

And no I'm not saying be battle hungry but kid you really need some experience in fighting here] Merlin pointed out. 

'Well observing the situation, I don't see how else we gonna get out of here.' Orion reply.

"He himself can get out easy, the so-called wards those dark wizards and Aurors erected are child play for him to bypass. Space magic is his bi***.

[Language]

'Ahum,'

The problem is that he can't use the same way to bring out Javier with him. 

And no he wasn't stupid enough to play Hero here. He didn't know the man nor he cared too much for him.

The reason for saving him was simple. Orion needed the man for the time being. Only he had enough knowledge about Vampire colonies and enough connection that if what information he gave Orion didn't work out then the man could find out more about the vampires.

Just as they thought they had found a safe path, they were confronted by a group of Grindelwald's followers blocking their way. Orion clenched his fist, preparing for another fight.

"Come with me," but suddenly he got an idea, he told Javier, determination in his eyes. He wasn't about to let them get captured now. But fighting here is also a problem, especially with how he uses his magic in the entire magical world. 

If anyone saw him it's not very hard to find that he is using Wandless magic. 

And who currently has the best wandless magic in the wizarding community?

"Yeah, he was actually trying to avoid fighting not cause he can't fight back or beat him but rather because the aftermaths will be troublesome to handle. 

'Dumbledore also seems to be in Spain, tch.'
