"Good morning, Lily."
"Good morning, Mr. Adrian."
"How was your night?" Asked Adrian
"Splendid, you made it so fantastic for me. Thanks for all you've done for me," said Lily.
"You're an angel; you deserve all the care. Just feel at home here, okay?" said Adrian.
Looking at her, Adrian's eyes were glued to her. "You are so beautiful," he said.
Smiling.... "Thanks for the compliment. You're cute too," Lily said.
"Wow, thanks," Adrian said as they both smiled.
Looking around the room, her eyes moved from corner to corner. She saw how decorated and beautiful the room of the young man is. "I love this place; it really looks nice. I couldn't observe all these in the night when I came in" said Lily.
"Thanks for loving this place. I packed in just a month ago. It's still work in progress," said Adrian.
Still looking around, Lily's attention was drawn to a picture of a beautiful, aging woman hanging on the wall. Pointing at the picture, she said, "Who's that beautiful woman there?"
"Oh, that's my mom," Adrian replied.
Jokingly, "in her prime, she must be Miss World" Lily said.
They both laughed. And Adrian said, "Honestly, my mom is so beautiful. She's coming by midweek, Wednesday. I hope you will stay so you can see her."
"I will really love to see her. I might stay, but... if..." She wants to be sure if the mortal earth will treat her differently from what she experienced on Jupiter.
"If... what please, I promise to make you comfortable and protected. You do not need to worry," said Adrian.
Before she could wake up, Adrian had already prepared breakfast. "Let's go to the table; we need to take our breakfast now," he said. She stood up and worked towards the table. He watched every step she took. Her elegant movement perfects her beauty.
On her own part, she's ranking Adrian's caring nature as second to none. "But will he be truly different from the Jupiter guys?" Lily questioned herself.
As they ate, Adrian couldn't stop gazing at her, wondering how many days it took God to create her. "She's just the epitome of beauty". He thought within himself, "If I don't woo her now, I may never get her. I'm sure when she steps out, guys will never delay, and she may accept one of them. No, I'm always a smart guy; my close mouth might lock my destiny. The time is now".
"Li…l…ly, I love you," Adrian said. As if the statement was a remote control, she paused, only looking at him. Eye to eye. "I love you; will you be my girl?" Adrian asked again.
Lily became mute, and Adrian waited patiently for her response. Everything about him—the calmness, the kindness, and the outlook—passed her judgment. But only one assessment needed to be done: "Is he a pretentious character like the sh*ts in Jupiter? That name, real man, might mean the opposite. He might become toxic like them—the Jupiter's, she thought. Finally, she breaks the silence.
"I will only love you if you're fake".
To Adrian, she obscured the statement, "I will only love you if you're fake" . It's confusing and ambiguous. "Why are you wanting me to be fake?" asked Adrian.
"Over there in Jupiter, I have been in a couple of relationships; they all looked promising and real from the start, but they turned out to be toxic. Guys are always the opposite of their words. I really don't want to fall in love with pretentious characters anymore", Lily said.
"Hmmm, that's what will make us the perfect match for each other. Now I know the gods orchestrated our encounter. You're actually pleased with your man for being real. The same I want from my girl. Girls I dated were never pleased with me because I am genuine. And this is why I quit every single relationship I have been in. I promise to stick to my identity as a real man", Adrian said.
Deeply, she thought, "Could the gods really be involved? It seems we want the same thing: genuineness. I barely know this man. Our paths only crossed yesterday. I think I need time to know much about him. I am sure his identity will be revealed. But deep inside, I can feel the connectivity. I have had a lot from men. There is no room for gambling, but I love this man. This is my kind of man. The gods must truly be involved". Stirring at Adrian, she said "I love you too, and I will be your girl".
Adrian was overwhelmed with joy, for the gods had finally brought his soul mate. He stood up, walked gently, and grabbed her by the hands. They intimately embraced each other. Being taller than her, he bent a little, lowered his lips, and she moved her head closer. Their lips attracted each other like two powerful magnets, feeling like her lips were sweeter than honey. Adrian protruded his tongue into her mouth; her hands held him tight to her chest, ensuring they were glued for a longer moment. As they remained glued, he whispered to her, "I love you".
And she reciprocated, I love you too. They say this countless times.
As they separated, Adrian was full of joy. He picked up his phone and quickly scrolled to his mom's line, dialed her number, and waited for a few seconds to connect. Success, he got through, "Hello, mom, trust you are good?
"Yes, I'm a son," replied his mom.
"I got good news: here's my girl, Lily, the charming damsel. Mom, you need to see her as soon as possible.
"Great, unfailing on Wednesday, I will be there... Please give her the phone, son." Said the mom.
"Being a little bit shy, good morning, ma." Lily greeted her.
"Good morning, dear... I will see you on Wednesday," said Adrian's mom.
"Okay, ma, bye-bye," said Lily.
*Hang up*
Adrian and Lily continued with their meal with an unceasing smile. "I did love to stroll around this town," said Lily.
"By evening, I will take you around the town. I foresee the whole niggas going crazy after you. They will know the real man has got it right," Adrian said.
