"What on earth is going on?"

Granny Snake's face was shadowy.

William Cole shrugged, "It's pretty simple. Surely you're familiar with the Face Changing Technique?"

"On my way home last night, someone disguised himself to look like me."

"I hid in the shadows and watched as Norbu Miao appeared."

"What came as a surprise to me was that Norbu Miao deliberately sought death, dying under the blade of the substitute."

"Given Norbu Miao's desire to stay alive, why would he deliberately seek death?"

"Aside from you, Granny Snake, I don't think anyone else could order Norbu Miao."

"Though I was surprised by Norbu, I knew things weren't as simple as they seemed. I let the impersonator get arrested."

"Sure enough, as soon as you saw that I had been arrested, you sprang into action."

Minnie Wright widened her eyes in understanding, "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"If I had told you, would you have been able to act so convincingly?" William Cole replied with a grin.
