Chapter 22
The most obvious problem to deal with would be his new limbs. Xavier had seen some incomplete designs lying around the Dr's desk recently and was sure that he was in the process of building them.
'Easiest solution is to build in some hidden weakness to a large surge of power inside his build, then hope that I can take him out for a long time. From what I've remembered, Octavious is incredibly smart and resourceful to boot.'
Soon, Xavier had a rough design for a special set of web shooters for him. His idea would be that he could try to add things to his webs. The most important being a taser web with a high charge rate.
"I'll finish these sometime later, let's get some more plans started." He muttered to himself, getting a fresh sheet of paper for sketching. Next on his agenda was Electro.
As far as he could tell, he would soon make his debut. With Oscorp shutting down the rumors about Max's death, Xavier knew that they were already moving.
'I just hope THAT story doesn't go like the movie. I'd rather not deal with a crazy Harry Osborn.'
After an hour of brainstorming, Xavier realized that he had no way to deal with the problem on his own. Since this was the case, he turned to the Shop.
There, he saw a lot of blueprints dealing with large electrical batteries. None of them fit the bill, only one he found after a lot of scrolling was right for the job.
It was a portable bomb-like object that would suck in as much electricity as it could when it sensed a large source. Only problem was that it was expensive. 'Oh fuck it, It's not like I've bought anything other than the chamber recently and i doubt I'll need something similar soon.
Buying the design for 100 Tokens, Xavier moved on to another member of the Six. This time it was the Vulture. For him, he needed to jam his wings.
To do that, he moved back to his modified web shooters, adding plans for a function that would give him something similar to the impact webs from the PS4 game.
~RING, RING~
"Hmm?" Xavier grabbed his phone to see that Cindy was calling him. "Shit, I got carried away."
Picking up, Cindy didn't even wait for him to say anything before beginning an interrogation. "Where are you?"
"Sorry Cindy, I couldn't sleep so I went out for some of my favorite snacks." Xavier crossed his fingers and hoped that excuse would work.
"Hm. Okay, but be safe. I heard there's some particularly nasty gangsters or something out there recently." That made him chuckle. 'I doubt gangsters could put me in much trouble now.'
"Okay Cin, I should be back in less than ten minutes." After another moment of assuring her, Xavier hung up the call.
"All right, let's put this up for the night. It's late anyway." Xavier put the new blueprints into his desk before leaving for the corner store.
Once there, he went over to the candy aisle and picked out some Jolly Ranchers for him and grabbed some gummy versions as well for Cindy. Of course he had taken off his suit before walking in.
Walking over to the counter, he could see that there was a line of a few people ahead of him, so he pulled out his phone. Scrolling through the news, he soon found that there was a meteor crash nearby in Central Park. A few scrolls later and he saw that people were reporting bits of thick metal scraps falling out of the sky- and they were apparently incredibly hot.
"Huh? Some kind of rocket ship that failed seeing the scraps everywhere. Did someone cover it up?"
"So why do you need so much chocolate man?" Looking up, a man at the counter had picked out at least 20 different chocolate candies and the cashier was curious as to why.
"Why don't you mind your business?!" The man snapped back.
"O-Okay, sorry sir." He said, speeding up his scanning.
'If this is what I think it is…' unseen by anyone else in the corner store, a small spider slinked out of Xavier's sleeve and worked its way over to hitch a ride on the man's coat. 'I need to finish up that neural link so controlling these can be easier.' He thought while directing the spider from his phone.
Soon the man left after paying and luckily didn't notice the spider bot. On the way out, Xavier managed to bump into the guy and make skin contact. The guy got agitated but gave up on his anger and left quickly after that.
'Dry skin to boot. His body's lacking something, almost like he has a picky parasite hitching a ride.' Xavier had all but decided that his assumptions were correct. He had just met Venom's host.

In the morning, Xavier borrowed Uncle Ben's car to drive Cindy to her home. She had protested because he didn't have his license, but he didn't care saying that neither Been nor her should be out in the cold. After more arguing, Cindy gave up.
'Not easy to change his mind is it?' She thought.
Since he had time today, Xavier decided to go to the hideout and do some testing for a neural link. The team had come up with a basic design but Xavier wanted to get this done early because of his bots. He shot Peter a text that he was going to steal some of his files about the project off of his laptop, and he just told him to do whatever.
Xavier looked around the shop for a blueprint that he could use for his own as well. He wanted to use some parts from a blueprint to finish the designs they had already made. Soon, he found a completed version that Dr Oc had used in the game. Complete as in, there were no personality changing flaws, should it be inserted correctly.
Using that blueprint as a backbone, he began to work on it. Along the way, Peter arrived and began to help him with his work. He said he had been out on a date with Gwen, and afterwards he had nothing to do so he came over to help.
With both of them working on it, the neural link was finished in about five hours of problem solving. While Peter began to build the first one, that was meant for Otto since he had volunteered to be the first human subject, Xavier went to work on his web modifiers. That project was easy compared to the link he had just designed.
Before he built them, he decided to finish up a design for his weapon while he was here. It was a pretty advanced piece that had a lot of moving parts. He designed the base model to be a bo staff. The idea was that it could extend to be a longer staff, but that it could also split to become different tools if needed. For now, he worked on the extendable bo staff.
He had landed on a staff because among non-lethal weapons, it was what he was most comfortable with thanks to his training with his grandpa. 'Looks like I'll have to pick up that part of my training again though.'
A few hours later Xavier was already using a prototype to train in another area of Den's basement. With his recent grinding of making weapons and gadgets, his intelligence had jumped up to 29. The only reason it had jumped so far was because he had been designing things non stop for the past month and a half.
Soon, it was getting late and the both of them had to stop what they were doing or they'd never hear the end of it. Aunt May had become a lot more protective of them with the recent news of new dangerous criminals going around.
"Tomorrow after school I need to implant a neural link and check in with that symbiote host. Anything else can come later.' At least those were the things he could deal with immediately, the other things on his agenda would come on their own time to test his reaction time.
