Ep.7

Alchemy is a difficult profession for a hunter but also the most profitable one. Any number of things could go wrong and have the most catastrophic consequences. A virus outbreak from extracting bone marrow from Undead Lich king or maybe summoning a demon from crushing a soul crystal.

Every alchemy resource used to create something carries the risk of being destroyed or worse.

That's why most new alchemists take years of teaching before laying their eager hands on monster resources but John didn't know this at all.

Yet Johns skills in alchemy amazed Zoa and couldn't help find something off about it.

'What's his secret… obviously his class is a high rank but how high is what we need to learn…'

Zoa had been watching Johns hunter exam over and over for hours.

It was no secret John had a symbiotic class, a fusion of two different classes.

A martial artist who can summon hell beasts or a bard who is an archery master. John wasn't the first to have a symbiotic class and these classes often had very high rankings.

But even after years after their first appearance none could know why those three angles descended to earth.

Some believe they truly are beings sent to aid humankind but some couldn't help but find it odd.

Shortly before a cataclysmic event took hold onto the planet a high ranking class was revealed.

A horde of dragons appearing out of thing air months after the Legendary Dragonslayer had been discovered and a Mystic Oracle who was haunted by his visions that were proclaimed to be sent by death itself.

All these events had one thing in common, their hunters and Zoa knew they were connected to their events after all he was there at both of these events of catastrophe.

'If it's the emergence of a legendary class then there will be destruction to come and soon. We need to be ready.'

Zoa was a man to waste little time as he went straight to the chairmen after his deep contemplation about John.

"Sir I need to speak with you."

However James beat Zoa to the punch.

"You think the next calamity will happen soon due to the new piece on the board and I agree."

Zoa however wasn't surprised by the chairmen's guess but felt relieved.

"I forgot that you can see the future and that means you've seen something, about John? What did you see."

The legendary and yet the most mysterious Oracle Behemoth was James void, CEO of the M.D.C.

"It wasn't much but it was enough… I saw… a man standing as both our shadow and our rising sun. Both good and bad, evil and just. That was all, we need to call them in"

Zoa's anxious face turned to worry before giving James a slight nod before leaving.

"I hope you have plans to become strong little man. Your going to need it."

What neither James or Zoa knew was that John was already raiding dungeons after dealing with his business with Steven Macave.

[You've killed a Highland Orc Priest]

[Level 8 has been reached]

[You've acquired 2 (Tier1)Monster cores]

[You've acquired 3 Highland Orc Teeth]

Orcs were well known to the Hunter community as walking EXP banks but due to their high regeneration rate they are difficult to kill alone but John wasn't alone with the help of his newly created mud golems.

'I'll have to thank steven again for his bonus payments'

After everything was set in stone for Johns completion with his deal with steven John was givin a briefcase by steven.

"Here is a bonus payment from my sister after talking with her. She would also like to place an order for herself if the would be possible."

John opened the case to see ten small jewels called monster cores shimmering.

"I'm sure I can find some time to hear her proposal and please be rest assured that what we've talked about will remain confidential."

Steven smiled before disappearing right in front of Johns eyes.

'Now that I have these I can skip to dungeon raids. Time to level up.'

But with so many dungeons to pick from what should John start with? Some would expect him to farm goblin camps for the few weeks but John wasn't like most and decided to take a bite out of the big apple.

Normally a single man couldn't complete a full dungeon by himself hence why it's smarter to go with other people but this meant there would be less experience to be gained.

After collecting the necessary amount of dirt outside the dungeon John started sculpting them into blocks before placing nine of the ten cores into the three mud golems.

All that was left was the spark of life straight from John as he injected his mana into the golems to bring them to life.

Aside from the elixirs these golems were Johns first real creations and John was surprised to be rewarded for it.

[You have successfully created a (Mud Golem)]

[All stats have raised by 5]

[(God of alchemy)LV.1(6%) has gained some experience]

[You have successfully created a (Mud Golem)]

[(God of alchemy)LV.1(7%) has gained some experience]

[You have successfully created a (Mud Golem)]

[All stats have raised by 5]

[(God of alchemy)LV.1(8%) has gained some experience]

John was surprised to have his stats raise by 15 but also by how much experience would be needed to level up God of alchemy.

'I'll need to craft a lot more golems if I want this skill leveled up. But let's get this done.'

With the golems in tow behind him John made his way down to the rift, the gateway between worlds.

Naturally the hunters didn't see John but focused on the golems.

"Hey boss? What are those?"

The muscular man in heavy armour lifted his face guard to see the golems and John approaching them.

"I don't know but be ready for battle."

The mud golems were slow and deprived of any intelligence but sensed danger in front of John and started hardening the mud on their bodies before John stopped them and held up his badge.

"John greyhound, I'm here to raid this dungeon with the assistance of my friends here."

The group began to whisper amongst themselves while the M.D.C representative approached John slowly.

"I'm sorry sir but these hunters were here before you."

John looked over and smiled before handing the representative his phone.

"Run my badge through and let me pass. I won't ask again."

John had little patience for fools and obstacles in his path but for the representative and the hunters he seemed full of himself.

But as the representative scanned Johns badge his face turned cold.

"This… this can't be… my apologies sir I'll sort out your issue."

The hunters were then pushed to the side before John was handed back his badge but the hunters boss was outraged.

"Dude what are you doing?! We reserved this dungeon for the day. You can't just-"

"I'm sorry but I can't help you anymore so leave before I have your licenses revoked."

None spoke up but we're clearly filled with rage but left quickly and quietly.

John had begun his hunt with the help of his golems.
