Chapter 264: Kaya & Vivi vs Shura
Mikita landed back on the Miss Love Duck. She closed her umbrella and looked at the flames from the shore. She saw 5 men fall to the ground. There was a loud thud. Honey, Marianne, Conis and Robin approached Mikita.
""That was not us," Honey concurred.
"There is a war going on," Robin added, her voice reflecting the gravity of the situation.
"It is awful," Conis said.
"It is but they attacked us," Mikita replied. She looked at the flames. "You think it's him?" Mikita inquired, her voice laced with uncertainty.
"Him?" Marianne echoed, her brow furrowed.
At that moment, bald soldiers with small and sharp horns came out of the forest. They wore white robes and baggy white pants. They wore brown sandals with the Shooters.
"It's them for sure," Mikita replied.
"The Divine Soldiers," Conis recognised. She gasped again. She had seen them yesterday, two days in a row is certainly bad luck, she thought.
Behind the dozen Divine Soldiers was a man riding a bird. "Shura," Mikita said. She remembered what Ben and the group discussed yesterday.
Kaya was in the air, fluttering her wings. She looked to see the flames and the dozen people approaching them. Then she saw a man on a bird with a javelin. "Shura," Kaya remarked. She thought that Usopp, her best friend and Chopper, a fellow medical professional, were hurt by him. Usopp had protected her. She was going to protect him. Ben, her love, gave her strength.
She flew down to Mikita and the group. "I can take him," Kaya stated.
Mikita looked at Kaya. Her yellow eyes had a conviction to them.
"Okay, but be careful and one of us should help, we have numbers," Mikita replied.
Shura saw a flying being. She looked like an angel hovering in the sky."A devil fruit user," he remarked. Her resemblance was divine. He thought about testing her.
"Inferno Strike," Shura said as he held up the javelin. He pressed a button. The tip of the blade went red. It then shot a ball of fire towards Kaya.
Kaya saw the flame approaching. She moved out of the way. The other girls saw this and ducked. Conis however did not move and got hit by the flames.However the fire just moved around her body and went to her back. She looked completely fine.
Shura approached Kaya who had moved back. He went past the Miss Love Duck."You are in," Shura tried to say when a golden beam was fired from Kaya`s mouth. It went towards Shura. Shura on Fuza made an evasive maneuver and got out of the way.
"Angel HyperBeam," Kaya said as she saw the attack missed. She moved back to the shore. Shura followed. Kaya landed on the ground. Shura on his bird looked at Kaya.
"It was rude to attack a high priest," Shura said.
"You were the one who attacked us," Kaya remarked. At the moment, Vivi on her Shooter glided on the river. She aimed her Gero Gero gun and fired it at Fuza. The frog shaped bullet went towards him. Shura saw this and moved Fuza out of the way.
Vivi jumped and landed next to Kaya. "Are you okay?" Vivi asked.
"Never better," Kaya replied. She added, "The fight is about to start." Vivi nodded. Shura saw the two being on the ground. Marianne on the Miss Love Duck, grabbed a rope. She ran across the deck and swung herself towards the shore. She landed perfectly. She ran up and grouped with Kaya and Vivi.
"I have come to help," Marianne said.
Shura's laughter echoed, a chilling sound that sent shivers down the spine of anyone who heard it. "Help?" he scoffed, his voice dripping with contempt. "You are nothing more than food," he remarked, his eyes narrowing as he surveyed the figure of the little girl clutching a paintbrush and palette.
Yet, despite his menacing words, there was a twisted amusement in Shura's demeanor as he regarded the girl. A smile twisted across his lips, sending a shiver down the spine of anyone who caught sight of it.
"It's a tough job," he continued, his voice low and menacing, "but sinners must be punished." His words hung in the air.
Marianne, Kaya and Vivi looked at him. They had a stern expression."He is rude," Vivi remarked.
"Very," Marianne agreed. She looked at the bird. "I can deal with the bird," Marianne stated.
"Okay, Vivi, you and I can take out Shura," Kaya said.
"Sounds like a plan, he had hurt our friends," Vivi replied.
"He did," Kaya commented.
"So you have a plan?" Shura asked. He laughed.
Shura jumped on the ground. He had his javelin in his hand. "Fuza get her," Shura ordered.
Fuza, the large bird went towards Marianne. Marianne ran away towards the tree line. She wanted some distance between her and the other fight.
Vivi aimed her Gero Gero gun. She held and put Shura in her cross-sights. She pulled the trigger. A frog-shaped bullet went towards Shura. Shura saw this and moved his head. The bullet went past him and hit the river where it exploded. He smiled. Vivi looked.
Kaya then rushed towards Shura. She focused her energy into her fist which started to glow. "Angel Smash," Kaya said as she attempted to punch Shura. Shura saw this coming and moved out of the way. Kaya missed.
"Inferno Strike," Shura said as he channeled intense heat into the tip of the javelin and then thrusted it forward. It releases a scorching blast of flames at Kaya. Kaya got hit with flames and went back. She landed on the ground on her back.
"Kaya," Vivi shouted.
Kaya got up. There were some minor burn marks on her body however they were healing. She looked at Shura. "I am okay Vivi," Kaya replied. She added, "We need to be careful."
Vivi nodded. She aimed her Gero Gero gun again and fired multiple shoots. Shura jumped out of the way. The frog shaped bullets exploded upon impact. Shura was caught in the blast and was knocked from his feet. He got up. "You are annoying," Shura said.
"Thermal Impale," Shura said as thrusted the Heat Javelin into the ground. The tip heated the ground. Suddenly it erupted in a pillar of intense heat from the ground.
"What is that?" Kaya questioned. She saw another pillar of fire from the ground as it was getting close. "Vivi move," Kaya urged. Kaya took to the sky.The pillar of flame was getting closer as another emerged from the ground. Vivi started to move away.
"Angel Barrage," Kaya said as she fired a rapid volley of small energy projectiles resembling angelic feathers at Shura. Shura saw this coming. He grabbed his javelin and yanked it off the ground. The pillar of flames stopped as he narrowly missed the attack.
"Interesting," Kaya remarked. Vivi at the same time fired another frog shaped bullet at Shura as he moved to the right.
Shura saw the bullet coming. "Inferno Strike," Shura said as he channeled the intense heat into the tip of the javelin, then thrusted to the left. The flames pushed him backwards as he just dodged the attack.
Shura landed on his feet. "You both will never beat the Ordeal of String," Shura said. He then ran towards Vivi. He closed the distance quickly and attempted to slash Vivi with his javelin. Vivi dodged that attack barely by ducking down. Shura smiled and kicked Vivi in the chest. Vivi stood her ground. Shura followed it up with another strike from his javelin. Vivi used her Gero Gero gun to block the attack. Shura again kicked Vivi in the stomach this time.
Vivi held her ground again and head butted Shura who saw this coming but could not react. At that time Kaya had flown towards the struggle. She focused her energy into her fist again and swung at Shura. "Angel Smash," Kaya said as she punched Shura in the face. Shura slid back.
"Are you okay, Vivi?" Kaya's voice was filled with concern as she reached out to her friend.
"I'm fine," Vivi replied, her voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through her veins. She thought she had received two kicks however she did feel any pain.
Shura wiped the blood from his lip, his irritation evident in the crease of his brow. These two girls were proving to be more of a challenge than he had anticipated, and it was beginning to grate on his nerves.
Kaya lept into action again. She attempted to punch Shura however he dodged the attack. Kaya jumped out of the way and Vivi took a shot. The frog shaped bullet hit Shura. The impact was direct and he was knocked off his feet as he landed on the ground. There were black marks on his clothes. He was panting loudly. Shura got up to see Kaya next to him who punched him in the stomach.
Shura again was knocked back and hit the ground again. He spat blood. He was panting as he got up.
"You both will be dead," Shura remarked.
He ran towards Kaya and Vivi. "Scorching Cyclone Slash," Shura said as he started to spin the javelin in his hand. The tip was getting hotter as he created a cyclone of flames around him and then sent it towards the two girls. Kaya grabbed Vivi and pulled her up away from the flames which they barely missed.
Shura smiled. He saw the two girls in the air. "Blazing Lance Barrage," Shura said as he rapidly thrusted the javelin in succession at Kaya who had let go of Vivi. Kaya took three rapid hits of the javelin, each erupting into flames. She got hit in her stomach and twice in the chest as she landed back on the ground with a big thud.
"Kaya," Vivi shouted. At that time, Shura landed on the ground. He held his javelin out.
"Inferno Strike," Shura said once again as he channeled the intense heat into the tip of the javelin and then thrusted it forward, releasing a scorching blast of flames. It hit Vivi as she went flying back and landed on the ground.
"Too easy," Shura said as he looked at the two girls on the ground. He looked to see where Fuza had gone. As he was about to walk away, they both got up. Kaya's eyes were glowing yellow. Vivi`s eyes were glowing red. They had no pupils.
