"Dad, how are you? Has Cindy visited you?" Wendy Clarke asked.
"No." Joshua Clarke said solemnly.
Wendy immediately expressed indignation. "She's absolutely awful! You treat her the best, and she ignores you on regular days. Now that she's been told you are hospitalized because of an injury, she doesn't even bother to visit you."
"Dad, do you see her true colors now?" Wendy immediately continued, "Even though you're okay now, Cindy doesn't know that. In her eyes, you're in great trouble, but she still won't visit you."
"That's not true," Joshua defended, "She and Morgan were both scared, and they specifically asked me about my condition. Knowing that I am fine, she decided not to come for the time being. She wanted to stay home to take care of Morgan. The kid was terrified and couldn't be left alone."
"Speaking of which, I thought you just sent someone to stop Cindy. How could you be so excessive!" Joshua questioned.
"Dad, what are you talking about?"
