My Brightest Star

Demyan

When we got back to the house Malia was yawning so much I thought she would hoover me at a point. Her morning sickness was still going strong and because of that she became tired a lot quicker. Her parents had decided to go to Russia without her and pack up her belongings in her old apartment to bring to London.

She was too afraid to leave me alone so she would be staying until Dad's birthday before she had to fly to Russia to sort out things at the studio. I helped to tuck her into bed so she could take a nap then went downstairs to make myself a cuppa.

When I entered the kitchen, I tried to be as silent as possible as I saw Dad seated at the kitchen nook with papers spread around the table as he wore his reading glasses. I tried to backtrack and take quite steps but just when I thought I was home free I heard him chuckle, "I saw you Demyan, don't be an idiot."
