Chapter 48: New Friendship

Whispers started enveloping the hall as anticipation filled the air. 

Everyone was eager to know who the crown prince of the foreign kingdom was going to choose as his first dance for the ball. It will no doubt be a woman he's interested in. 

As the music began to play, all eyes turned towards the spot where the crown prince stood, scanning the crowd with a smile. 

Every single woman who targeted the crown prince had a hopeful look in her eyes. They held their heads high and tried to showcase an alluring expression as the crown prince swept his eyes around the crowd and locked eyes with the women. 

Every time he locked eyes with them, their hearts skipped a beat and awaited the crown prince's move to walk closer to them and invite them for a dance. However, their hope only lasted for a moment as the crown prince swept his eyes away from them as he stopped at a beautiful maiden dressed in a sparkling blue dress.
