Setting aside the new tasks issued by the system, Yuga had the Beautifly and Dustox on the island demonstrate their flying-type abilities.

These Beautifly and Dustox weren't of high level and didn't have a wide range of flying-type moves. The basics included moves like Gust and Air Slash, with only a few of the more intelligent ones having learned moves like Tailwind and Aerial Ace from other Pokémon.

Yuga and Vivillon observed their usage of these moves closely but didn't gain any useful insights.

After consulting with Vivillon, Yuga immediately took it to the area with Hoppips, Skiplooms, Jumpluffs.

Yuga's Hoppips, Skiplooms, Jumpluffs didn't have high potentials, and their repertoire of flying-type moves was even more limited. Aside from a few that knew Aerial Ace, the most common move they knew was Acrobat.

Acrobat was a special move and, while potent when used correctly, didn't offer much assistance to Vivillon.

Acrobat was a physical-type move, and Vivillon excelled in special attacks, so learning Acrobat was somewhat redundant.

Leaving the second island in the lake, Yuga headed to the third island where he found the Mandibuzz and Archeops.

After Yuga's "taming" and Archeops's supervision, the Mandibuzz had become less wild, and they were quite well-behaved while residing on the third island.

However, all of them were female, and it had been a long time since they had found suitable "tools" for reproduction, which had made them increasingly irritable recently. (Female Mandibuzz didn't have mates; they used male Pokémon solely for reproduction.)

Mandibuzz had fierce personalities, and their desire for reproduction was high. If they couldn't satisfy this desire for an extended period, problems could arise.

Regarding the matter of suitable mates for the Mandibuzz, Yuga had considered it for a while. In the end, he decided to explore the possibility of introducing a group of Rufflets and Braviary from the Unova region.

Rufflets and Braviary had the opposite gender distribution to Vulturna and Mandibuzz – they were all male. By introducing them to live on the third island with the Mandibuzz, Yuga hoped to avoid conflicts.

YoYo's Day Care was no longer an obscure place. It had the capability to acquire Rufflets and Braviary from Unova, and the feasibility of this plan was not out of reach.

When Yuga arrived at the third island in the lake, he heard the harsh cries of the Mandibuzz echoing throughout the forest. Their voices carried a sense of impatience, as if they were on the verge of losing their temper.

Before entering the Ecopark, these Mandibuzz used to live on cliff edges. After settling on the third island in the lake, they had built their nests at the very top of the trees.

The trees on the island were exceptionally tall, and the nests built by the Mandibuzz were quite spacious. Even an adult could lie down comfortably inside without feeling cramped. These numerous nests looked like a dark cloud against the sky.

Upon seeing Yuga and Vivillon approaching, the Mandibuzz began to emerge from their nests in pairs. They circled in the sky above, emitting hoarse cries, clearly expressing their unwelcome attitude toward Yuga.

Yuga had gone through considerable effort to tame this group of Mandibuzz, so in their eyes, he was a sort of demon king, one who tormented them.

They harbored a deep hatred and fear towards Yuga. Under normal circumstances, they would prefer not to see him at all.

However, Yuga hadn't visited this place in a long time. The Miltank were responsible for their meals, and Archeops supervised their training. Yuga's involvement had been minimal, and now, the only thing he had to worry about was their "life-changing event."

Sensing Yuga's presence, the Archeops living near Lake Island flapped its wings, ascended into the sky, and after locating Yuga, landed beside him.

Compared to when they first arrived at the Ecopark, Archeops was in much better condition now. Its feathers and scales had become more vibrant, a clear sign that it had been well taken care of by the Miltank.

Its level remained at the peak of the Elite level, with no apparent changes. It was evident that Archeops was still eager to achieve its goal.

Unlike other Pokémon, Archeops was quite elderly. If it couldn't break through to the Champion level and undergo a second life transformation soon, it would age rapidly and die.

Yuga was well aware of Archeops's situation. He had been helping it adjust its state ever since it submitted, even spending a considerable amount of money to acquire rare items and precious resources, all in the hope of aiding its breakthrough.

However, despite Archeops's accumulated experience, it still fell slightly short of breaking through, and the more urgent Yuga felt, the more perplexed he became.

Because of Archeops's breakthrough challenge, Yuga had even sought advice from Dragonite's mother, but conveying the sensation of a breakthrough proved to be quite challenging for her.

In truth, Yuga understood that for elderly Pokémon like Archeops, the later stages of life made it increasingly difficult to find opportunities for breakthroughs.

However, Archeops had not given up, and Yuga was determined to help it as much as possible. His genuine care for Archeops had made the Pokémon quite friendly towards him.

Standing tall, Archeops was much taller than Yuga, with Yuga's hand reaching up to its neck, where there was a ring of brownish-yellow feathers.

"Archeops, I would like to ask you and the Mandibuzz for a favor."

Archeops readily agreed, then inquired about the nature of the task.

Yuga proceeded to explain his request.

Upon hearing Yuga's words, Archeops lifted its head and let out a loud cry towards the sky. Soon after, the Mandibuzz reluctantly descended from their nests.

The Mandibuzz knew a far wider array of flying-type moves compared to Beautifly, Dustoxes, Hoppips, Skiplooms, and Jumpluffs.

Their moves ranged from basic ones like Gust, Peck, Defog, Tailwind, Air Slash, Mimicry, Brave Bird, Roost, Aerial Ace, Fly, and Sky Attack, encompassing both basic and advanced moves, with variations in both style and function. Several Mandibuzz knew each of these moves.

After observing move by move, Yuga finally noticed that there were three moves that gathered flying-type energy extensively when used: Brave Bird, Sky Attack, and Roost.

Among them, Brave Bird and Sky Attack had similar energy-gathering methods, creating a mantle of energy on the Pokémon's surface, which they then used to strike their opponents fiercely.

However, Brave Bird accumulated energy rapidly and violently, which often resulted in recoil damage to the user.

In contrast, Sky Attack gathered energy slowly and gently, requiring a charging period before use.

Users of these two moves didn't absorb the gathered energy into their bodies, unlike Vivillon's Quiver Dance, which was different in application.

Unfortunately, neither Brave Bird nor Sky Attack were moves that Vivillon, a Bug/Flying-type Pokémon, could learn.

As for the third move, Roost, while Vivillon could learn it, it couldn't be used in combination with Quiver Dance.

Yuga's Vivillon already knew Roost, a move that temporarily grounded a flying-type Pokémon and restored its health. This move prevented the simultaneous use of Quiver Dance, as Vivillon had to be in the air to perform the mysterious dance.

Moreover, Roost had an extremely slow energy-gathering rate, taking so long to accumulate energy that it could practically be considered useless.

Unable to find a breakthrough from the Mandibuzz, Yuga felt disappointed. He proceeded to seek advice from Honchkrow, Staraptor, Altaria, Swellow, Pidgeot, Crobat, Noctowl, Chatot, Natu, Gliscor, Masquerain, and Vespiquen.

Yuga spent an entire day shuttling between various flying-type Pokémon, hoping to discover a path to a breakthrough.

Ultimately, Yuga's focus shifted from the individual moves known by various flying-type Pokémon to a deeper contemplation of the principles behind the Quiver Dance combination move.

Yuga realized that he might not necessarily need to find a move that perfectly complemented Quiver Dance. Instead, he needed to discover a method or item that could help Vivillon rapidly gather flying-type energy.

This method or item should gather flying-type energy efficiently without being as violent as Brave Bird, which would prevent Vivillon from absorbing the gathered energy into its body. It also shouldn't be as slow as Roost, which would render it ineffective.

In the end, Yuga sought advice from the knowledgeable Dragonite's mother, hoping to learn about methods or items for rapid energy gathering.

Dragonite's mother did indeed introduce him to a simple solution: the Flying Gem.

The Flying Gem contained a substantial amount of flying-type energy that Vivillon could directly absorb during Quiver Dance.

However, this solution didn't align with Yuga's expectations. Each Flying Gem could only support Vivillon's battle once, as it would be depleted of energy after one use.

Flying Gems were already rare, and their quantity was insufficient for training, let alone having extras to be consumed by Vivillon.

When others used Flying Gems for training, their abilities could improve, but when Vivillon used them as disposable items, the gems were rendered useless, and Vivillon didn't gain any benefit.

Clearly, this usage of Flying Gems was highly wasteful.

After understanding the specific situation, Dragonite's mother mentioned another magical item: the Source of Flight.

The Source of Flight was a relic left behind by Champion level or higher flying-type Pokémon after their demise.

The creation of such a relic was highly fortuitous and didn't occur when every Champion level or higher flying-type Pokémon passed away. It could be said that it was an exceedingly rare occurrence.

Champion level or higher Pokémon were already rare, let alone those leaving behind a Source of Flight. Even Dragonite's mother had only heard of it but had never seen one in person.

Each Source of Flight was a powerful source of energy derived from the flying-type Pokémon's entire body, serving as a focal point for their energy during their lifetime. Its significance was akin to the heart of a living being.

Obtaining a Source of Flight would essentially provide Vivillon with an infinitely reusable Flying Gem because the energy within the Source of Flight could be replenished in a short time after use.

However, after hearing Dragonite's mother's description, Yuga faced a dilemma. Such a precious item would be incredibly hard to find. He hadn't even heard of it before, let alone know where to start looking.

Upon leaving the Ecopark, Yuga immediately began searching for information about the Source of Flight. However, whether in physical books or online resources, there was no record of the Source of Flight.

In desperation, Yuga decided to call his mentor.

Someone of Mr. Kuni'o's caliber knew many obscure pieces of information. While he had heard of the Source of Flight, he had never seen one. Nonetheless, he agreed to help Yuga look for it, which touched Yuga deeply.

However, Mr. Kuni'o also cautioned Yuga that the Source of Flight was exceedingly rare, and he couldn't guarantee they would find one. He advised Yuga to prepare himself mentally for the possibility of not locating it.

In reality, Yuga didn't have high hopes of finding the Source of Flight. If it were that easy to find, its rarity wouldn't be so well-known.
