The next day, I took a leave of absence to go to the hospital. There, in the waiting area, I saw my father and his wife, Summer.

Summer was around my age, wearing a pearl white dress today that highlighted her fair skin. Her lips were lightly coated in lipstick, giving her a clean and sexy look with a touch of sexiness that men love these days.

As soon as she saw me, a radiant smile lit up her face. "Eve, it's been ages! You're more beautiful than ever now."

"The doctor is calling, let's go in," I said, without even glancing at her. I pushed open the door and walked into Alexander's office.

My father pushed his wife's arm away before hurriedly following after me.

However, she still trailed in after us.

Alexander glanced at us, furrowing his brows. "Only one family member is allowed in here."

I turned to leave, but he stopped me. "You stay."
