Not to Interfere!

Logan had always enjoyed the act of people-watching, in both this and his last life. Watching people when you were not interacting with them was a good way to see who they truly were. Like the family that he just watched come through the doors. All three of the children had contact with their father, either holding onto his pant leg or in the case of the youngest being carried on his shoulders. The mother however was paying no attention to her family but was looking intently at the men in her sight line, whether they were alone or with another woman.

Logan was not surprised at her behavior as he had been watching many men do the exact same thing, some more subtle and others much more flagrant about it. With his enhanced hearing he had even heard a married couple making a bet on who would hook up first, with bonus points for attractiveness and even more if the conquest was part of the show. Video proof was required for any points. Logan just shook his head and smiled to himself (I guess it's not cheating if the other is in on it.).

A shiver ran down Logan's spine and he felt like he was being observed by a predator of immense danger. Logan tensed up and looked around as the feeling faded away. The only thing that stood out to him as he looked around was an elderly gentleman dressed in a long black coat with a large collar, he also wore black gloves covering his hands. A somewhat pale complexion and a head of balding blond hair with a set of ocean blue eyes that were looking over the crowd in the same way a housewife looked over the vegetables in the bin at a supermarket.

His outfit was completed by a ring that he wore over his left gloved hand and a long silver cane he used to walk with. Logan looked closer and noticed that the top of the cane was a crystal skull that looked like it had been worn smooth by the hand of its owner. Ted who stood next to Logan said "That is one to keep an eye on. Everything about him screams danger, especially the way he walks!" Logan looked over at him. "If you are talking about the old guy in black, I would agree but his eyes are the thing that scare me the most. He is looking down on everything he sees but there is still mischief there as well."

"No, I am talking about that big guy over there. He looks like a Jaguar walking amongst house cats!" Logan looked where Ted was focused and saw a large man handing a ticket to the door guard and noticed it was a floor-pass ticket. He was easily 6ft5in of Spanish descent, and exceptionally muscular. He was wearing a long-sleeve gray shirt that was fitted perfectly to show his physique and a pair of black slacks that did not restrict his movements but still showed he did not skip leg day at the gym. Finished off with a pair of black slip-on shoes with no socks, and a fashionable grey watch on his left wrist. He moved with the ease and balance not often seen in men of his size. Logan could only agree that this man was another predator.

"This looks like it will be an interesting day at the Circus Logan." "Just remember Ted your men are only responsible for safeguarding the crowd. Not taking on any threats." Ted's left hand was caressing his right fist as he stared at the large man in grey as if he was just begging to test out his skills. Ted's body relaxed and a self-deprecating smile formed on his face. "If only I were 10 years younger, getting old sure does suck." Logan chuckled. "It beats the alternative of dying before you get old though."

Logan would like to think that the two men he saw were the only dangers in the crowd but logically he knew that they were just the ones that got his attention. Gotham had no end of dangerous individuals that looked as harmless as a clown at a kid's birthday. (Well, that's a bad analogy, Logan.) he told himself.

As the stadium filled and the incoming line dwindled, Logan left Ted to his work and started walking around the bleachers looking for any obvious troublemakers. He saw a few that had too much to drink and let the regular security handle them so he could keep moving. As the time drew closer to the start of the show people started to settle into their seats and focus on the stage with an entry curtain. Suddenly a figure stumbled out from behind the curtain as though he had been pushed. "Okay, this is... Sorry, I wasn't really expecting to... Ahem." The person was Dick Grayson and after a stumbling start, he took a deep breath and started to speak to the crowd.

As Dick started a speech I focused on the crowed, down in the front row was the large man he saw entering the stadium and he walked down to his level. "Looking forward to the show?" The man was leaning back in his chair. "Si Senor, there will be more than one espectáculo (show) to watch. qué pasa contigo? (What about you?)"

Logan shook his head and chuckled. "Not really, I have always found Circuses to be too exploitive for my taste. I think that the traveling Circus will soon be a thing of the past. Making a permanent park with rotating shows just makes more sense to me. You know, bring people in rather than chase the spirit across the land."

As the man contemplated the words from logan the speech on the stage sounded like it was wrapping up. "So, thank you all, and enjoy the show. Our first performance will be the Daredevil father son duo Barton and Jonny BLAZE!!!" As soon as he finished two motorcycles zoomed out from around the stage and started their opening act as Dick quickly walked back through the curtains amid the clapping and cheering of the crowd.

"So, Guardia de seguridad (Security guard) why the interest in us?" Logan had turned away from him and focused on the motorcycle riders at the mention of their name. When he heard the question, he refocused on the man. "Because you are dangerous, maybe not a danger to the crowd, and it is possible that you would be a danger to anyone trying to cause trouble. But every fiber of my being says you are the second most dangerous person here." The man grinned. "Only the second, that disappoints me. Are you perhaps the numero uno? (Number one)" He asked as he started to run his left hand over his right fist in the same manor that Ted Grant, the owner of Wildcat security did when he was watching this man earlier.

"No, i am not the most dangerous one here, far from it. There was an old man that reeked of fire and blood, but i haven't seen him since he came through the doors." For the first time since starting the conversation the man's smile left him. "We do not like that comparison senior. You may want to rethink it."

"You sure do like to talk in plural." Logan felt that his mind was trying to bring up a memory, but he pushed it away as they weren't in New York and Eddie Brock was a blond guy. Just to be sure, he asked "You got a name me amigo? Mine is Logan J'onzz." The man chuckled, "Many names have been given to me. Antonio Diego, Eduardo Dorrance, and my favorite until recently was a representation of causing harm, ruin, or death. In short, I was a Bane to all."

Logan was only half listening at this point as he saw shadows from in the rafters and when he focused, he saw two figures fighting. One was Nightwing and the other was Saiko from the description he had gotten. Then he finally registered what the guy had said, (Shit this is Bane? What about the mouth coverings and tubes?) "Well, I hope we can continue this friendly conversation at a later time, right now I see a friend in trouble." Logan took a step back and before he got any further, Bane said "You mustn't interfere with my show. I came here to watch it and perhaps contend with an old acquaintance."

Without replying Logan changed his shape into an owl and started flapping his wings to gain altitude. But before he could get any, the person that called himself Bane jumped out of his seat and thrust his right hand towards the green owl. Logan, seeing that the thrust knife hand was going to miss his chest and pass under him just tried to flap harder to dodge. Unfortunately, Bane wasn't looking to impale Logan but catch him, and that he did. Just above the claws of his Owl legs Bane was gripping is right leg between his thumb and index finger and Logans left leg was caught between Bane's pinky and ring finger. "You were told… no interferir!!! (Not to interfere!)"
