Freya lowered her axe and knelt next to Gloria.

With a deep sigh, Liliana knelt beside her. With her clothes torn and burned, Gloria's chest was partially exposed and the mark was visible.

It was a mark in the shape of an ouroboros surrounded by some symbols.

Liliana placed her hand on it and closed her eyes.

"...I can feel it."

There was no visible reaction, but just by touching it, she could feel a strange sort of magic on the mark.

At that moment, Liliana was no longer Liliana, but the closest version of the genius who had created that seal, and as the energy channeled from her hand to disappear into the mark, she understood the situation.
