Chapter 83: EPILOGUE

Jerome

* A few weeks later *

LILY UNTANGLED HERSELF from the satin sheets on my bed, but before she left, I pulled her back against me. "Not so soon."

She laughed and didn’t make a break for it again. "Don’t you want to show me the rest of your house?"

"The rest of our house," I said, kissing her on the temple and reminding her for the hundredth time that with construction finished in the penthouse, she wasn’t going back to her tiny apartment above the plant shop.

Lily hadn’t exactly said yes to moving in with me, but with the Kensington charm working in my favor it was only a matter of time. She’d say yes, and then she’d say yes to something else. Actually, if things went as planned, it would be in reverse order, but none of that really mattered. My only concern was getting the yes.

"I want to see the library you talked so much about," she said, but she didn’t make a move to stand up again.

"It’s a den and an office. It just has shelves for books," I corrected her.
