(Jason's POV)
"Is he okay?" Erza asked me
I sighed, "I don't know..." I said
We were in the infirmary of the ship, I had placed Erion on top of a bed where he was being scanned by a large mechanical arm type of thing. Felicity had told me to take him there to see what was wrong with him.
His body was heating up and it looked like he had a fever. I tried using my Sage God Slayer Magic enchantments to check if he had any regular ailments, but it wasn't something that I could pick up with.
"Scanning for irregularities in the child's body," Felicity said through the speakers
"Well...he's a dragon, so there's that.." I muttered under my breath
Erion was moving around as he lay on the bed, his eyes closed and his face was filled with a pain expression as he cried out.
The mere sight of him in pain made my stomach sink. I couldn't handle watching him in this condition and I didn't know what was wrong with him. I could only watch the scanner hit him with the green light it emitted.
"Poor thing.." Erza said next to me, "It pains me to see him like that...."
"Yea, you and me both...." I said
"Sir." Felicity said, "I finished scanning for irregularities."
"What did you find?" I asked
"It appears that he has accelerated cellular aging," She said, "Aside from that, his body contains so much magic power that it's burning him up. Combining those two is causing him to be in pain."
"Accelerated cellular aging?" I said, "He's aging faster than normal? That's what is causing this?"
"Yes." Felicity said, "I am not sure why but that is the case."
"Shit." I said, "Could be the effect of him being half-dragon."
"Could be." Erza said, "And he has too much magic power that his child body cannot handle....."
"I have an unusual proposal, sir." Felicity said
"What is it?" I asked
"When the child was in his dragon form during the rampage here in Magnolia, I scanned his magic power. Right now, he has much less magic power than he did then. But it is still too much to handle." Felicity said, "I believe that when he's in his dragon form, his magic power is where it's supposed to be and his body is more than strong to contain it."
"And what you're suggesting is...." I said
"We need him to turn into a dragon." Felicity said
"Damn..." I said, "And that'll make him better?"
"No." She said, "But if you can use your Sage God Slayer Magic to extract some of his magic-infused flesh and bone, you can implant said flesh and bone into him as a human. It could act as a sort of.....remedy. It is still his flesh so his body would be able to accept it."
"Sounds....risky..." I said
"The child currently has two bodies, sir." Felicity said, "One is human, the other is dragon. One of them is sick because of the other's magic power and accelerated aging. If we can somehow merge them.....maybe that will be able to heal him."
"A maybe, huh?" I said, "I don't wanna risk his life for a maybe..."
"Jason." Erza said, "Maybe it's the right call."
I looked at her, she was giving me a concerned face.
"No." I said, "If he turns into a dragon, I'm not so sure I can keep him controlled."
"It certainly looked like he listened to you when you got back." She said with a slight smile, "You're his father and he knows that.."
I heard Erion's cries get louder.
I turned to see him squirming around.
"Shh..." I said soothingly as I picked him up in my arms, "It's okay buddy, I know it hurts..."
"What is your decision, sir?" Felicity asked
"Give me time to think about it." I said
"What are you going to do about his pain?" Erza asked me
I looked at her as I held Erion on my arms, his crying began to ease up. I still felt his body was a bit hungry.
"I'll think of something for his fever." I said, "In the meantime, call Porlyusica."
"I need her help."
*******************************************************
"ATTENTION: YOU HAVE SEVERAL NEW SPELLS FOR UNLOCKING."
"Now's not the time for this," I said as I laid Erion down on the bed
It was around 3 hours after Erza had left to call Porlyusica. She had arrived and given me some tonics for Erion's pain. She told me that they weren't permanent remedies and that she only had a limited amount of them.
I bought them all from her and had given Erion a dose. His pain had subsided for the time being and I now I had him clothed and wrapped in a blanket. I had the blanket enchantment with cold, to keep his body cool if it decides to heat up. Thankfully, the tonic worked and the blanket was doing its job because he wasn't crying anymore.
He was looking at me with his big black eyes.
I smiled at him, "Don't worry buddy." I said, "I'll think of something to fix you, okay? In the meantime, this should do the trick."
He blinked, his curious and innocent eyes merely looked at me.
I chuckled, "Heh." I said, "I have to fight a war. And once I finish it, you and me, we'll go live somewhere nice and quiet, what do you say? A nice big house with an open field where you can flap your big dragon wings as much as you want. We'll get some horses too but don't eat them."
Erion cooed, looking up at me.
He looked so peaceful, it was hard to believe this innocent little baby was that massive black dragon that wrecked so much havoc earlier.
"I REPEAT: NEW SPELLS AVAILABLE FOR UNLOCKING"
I sighed, "Okay.." I said, "Show me, you annoying fucker."
I looked at the screen, the page had switched to the new spells unlocked.
Stampede of The Dominant Lord's Cavalry: Battlefield spell. Shape the land to where you move your enemies into the middle of an open battle-ridden field as a massive cavalry of armored warriors stampede towards them, impaling them with their lances. (15 points)
Infantry's Pinch: Battlefield Spell. Shape the land to where you move your enemies into the middle of the area, surrounding them by dozens upon dozens of armored infantry soldiers that close in on them, attacking them with their swords and spears. (15 points)
Banished Knighs of Old: Activating this powerful spell allows you to summon 3 Ancient and Formidable Knights that once fought for a Lost Kingdom, banished by it's Last King before it fell to ruin. These three towering Knights are clad in heavy armor, wielding their weapons and some forms of elemental magics. (20 Points)
-Oleg: The Senior of the Three. He wields two claymores enchanted with lightning with such ferocity that he was feared by many. He also utilizes wind magic spells in his moveset, using the wind to blow away his foes.
-Envgall: Oleg's Junior and sworn brother. Wields a massive halberd alongside wind and frost magic. The combination of both elements alongside his skillful yet powerful use of his halberd makes Envgall a devastating foe to deal with.
-Gustav: The youngest of the three. Wields a straight sword and a shield. He doesn't use magic, using his pure skill and intellect to rival his three senior Knights. Despite not having magic, he is strong enough to deal with mages, using his quick and skillful sword strikes to immediately strike them down.
Armor of The Ruined Knight: Don a heavy armor that was once worn by the Ruined Knight. A knight who once served a king and attempted to warn his master of the Queen's nefarious intent when she married the King. The King then branded him a traitor and had one of his other loyal knights to exile the Ruined Knight and banish him from the land, if not kill him.
The Ruined Knight barely survived his once-sworn brother's hammer and escaped to a single lonely tower that housed an enigmatic lady who nursed him to health. It was only then that he was corrupted by the lady's darkness and his armor took that corruption and fueled his hatred to his old Master and his once-sworn brother. The Dark Lady then gifted him a massive and powerful Greatsword that the Ruined Knight would wield in her name.
The Armor grants the user immunity to darkness and other forms of ailment magic. It also fuels negative emotions that feed the Armor's power of corrupted flame darkness. Any weapon wielded with this armor is enchanted by the darkness and corrupted. Wielding the Ruined Knight's Greatsword brings this Armor's full potential.
The user's senses are sent into haywire when using this armor, but if the user is used to negative effects or has a strong will, the Armor will not corrupt them. The amount of power granted is worth the negative effects if the User can handle it.
(30 Points.)
I looked at the screen.
"Hm..." I said,
"Quite the options."
