The Impact

A loud bang...

You're surrounded by the vast and endless field of space, yet, you can breathe. You feel dizzy and nauseous so you hold on to your head with one hand and to your stomach with the other. As you blink, you're in another area entirely, on the ground.

A thick fog surrounds the area you're in. As you begin to see things a bit clearer, you notice you're inside a crater. Around you are pieces and chunks of a meteor which are lit up. You look at your arms and they are resonating the yellow color of the meteor's glow.

As you gather your wits and try to make sense of your surroundings, you notice a faint humming sound emanating from the meteor fragments scattered around the crater. It's as if they are resonating in harmony with the pulsating glow on your arms. Curiosity pulls you closer to one of the larger meteor pieces, and as you reach out to touch it, a surge of energy courses through your fingertips.

Visions of people unknown flash through your head. The first is of a boy wielding a shield and armor. The second is of a girl with green eyes and a jacket with many patched on it. And last but no least the third was of a boy who's hair changed from brown to black along with his eyes color. In the back of your head all you heard was a voice: "Find them."

Was this the meteor? Did you emerge from it or did you get caught in some freak accident? You can't quite seem to remember anything before this. As much as you try, everything is blank. Taking a deep breath, you absorb the air filled with a mix of anticipation and uncertainty.

The enigmatic visions linger in your mind, leaving you with a burning desire to uncover their meaning and the truth behind your connection to the meteor. The boy with the shield and armor, the girl with green eyes and a patch-filled jacket, and the boy whose appearance shifts, they all hold pieces of this puzzle you've been handed.

The fog begins to clear as you hear footsteps coming from behind you. As you turn around your gaze is met by another person. You both seem wary of the other.

"Are you okay?!" the person asks, still wary but concerned.

You stay quiet but you nod in agreement.

The glow from your arms dim at the same time as the meteor's. The person inspects you from a distance.

"There isn't a single scratch on you... Surely you must've taken some damage from the meteor's impact." the person follows up.

The howl of wolves was heard in the distance as the sky turned red. You look up to see the moon, it was blood red. The sound of screeching amd roaring was now heard from a distance.

The person looked to the side quickly and then over to you. The person quickly slid down the crater and grabbed your arm. You could see her clearly now, it was a girl with light brown hair.

"Let's get away from here. The monstras are coming." she called out.

Your confusion paralyzed you for a second yet you let her drag you out of there. The two of you began running in the direction of some lights in the distance, a town fortified with walls.

As you and the girl race towards the fortified town, your heart pounds in your chest, matching the intensity of your hurried footsteps. The screeches and roars of the approaching monsters echo through the night, filling you with a primal fear that propels you forward.

The girl glances back, her eyes filled with determination. "We're almost there," she shouts, her voice a mix of reassurance and urgency.

Adrenaline surges through your veins, heightening your senses as you take in the sight of the town walls growing closer. As you approach, you can see guards stationed atop the ramparts, their silhouettes standing out against the illuminated lights within the safety of the walls. The gates loom ahead, beckoning as a sanctuary from the encroaching threat.

With a final surge of determination, you and the girl reach the gates, breathless from the exertion of the chase. The guards scrutinize you both, their eyes cautious but discerning. They know who the girl is, yet, you're a new factor in the situation.

As you express your desire to learn about the monstra to the girl with light brown hair, her expression shifts to one of confusion. She furrows her brow and studies you intently, seemingly perplexed by your lack of knowledge. It becomes evident that in this world, the existence and nature of monstra are widely known and understood by its inhabitants.

She hesitates for a moment before responding, her voice tinged with a teasing tone. "Wait, you... you don't know what a monstra is? Are you sure you're okay?" She raises an eyebrow, a playful smile playing at the corners of her lips. "Or did you come out of that meteor and crash-land into our world? Is that why you're clueless?"

Her words carry a hint of jest, yet there's a glimmer of genuine curiosity behind her teasing. She seems intrigued by the possibility that your lack of knowledge is connected to the mysterious meteor event.

"Seriously though," she continues, her voice softening, "monstra are creatures that have existed in our world's mythology for as long as anyone can remember. We've all grown up with stories and legends about these fascinating beings. They embody the wonders and terrors of the human imagination. How did you manage to miss out on all that?"

There's a playful sparkle in her eyes as she waits for your response, her teasing tone now mixed with genuine concern. It's clear that she wants to understand your situation better and help you fill in the missing pieces of your knowledge about this world and its creatures....
