Breaking Past His Limits: Nacht's Immense Power

'What the hell, since when can he do such things with his power?' Carl asked himself as he saw the powerful slash that Nacht used to deliver immense damage.

It wasn't something that Nacht usually did, he usually created things with his powers and boosted his strength, this was the first time Carl had seen him create an attack, a slash, with his powers.

'Really, his ability is too much, it can do pretty much anything, was this a copy of some hero's or villain's attack?' Carl thought as he continued staring at the screen.

Nacht wasted no time. With Yuen temporarily incapacitated, he had an opportunity to end the battle. He sprinted towards the rooftop where she was, his red aura flaring with intensity. Yuen tried to scramble away, but her injuries slowed her down.

Nacht suddenly jumped with incredible power before creating red wings again. The other heroes attacked him, but none were as fast as he was, and none could fly or had the same maneuverability that Nacht had.

Beam Guy did his best, launching tens of beams of energy that chased after Nacht, destroying many buildings around them. Had they not previously evacuated the citizens, he wouldn't be able to use his powers in such a manner, but that didn't matter to Nacht who was going all out just to get to Yuen.

As Nacht approached, Yuen desperately reached for her rifle, but before she could grasp it, Nacht's trf tendrils ensnared her, immobilizing her completely. She let out a strained cry as she struggled against his grasp.

Nacht leaned down, his face inches away from Yuen's. "You should've known better than to mess with me," he growled.

Carl watched through the drone cameras, relieved that Nacht had the upper hand. But just as Nacht was about to deliver the finishing blow, something unexpected happened.

A powerful shockwave erupted from Yuen's body, sending Nacht flying backward. He crashed through a nearby building, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. Yuen, miraculously still alive, collapsed onto the rooftop, gasping for breath.

Carl was in shock. He couldn't believe what he had just witnessed. Yuen had unleashed an extraordinary ability at the last moment, one that had saved her life.

"Nacht! Are you okay?" Carl shouted through the communicator, frantic with worry.

Nacht groaned as he picked himself up from the rubble, clearly injured but alive. "I'm… I'm fine. Just a bit banged up. That was unexpected."

Carl could see that Yuen was struggling to stand, her body trembling from the exertion of her last-ditch effort. "The VSA has no records of Yuen possessing such an ability, she has either gained it recently, or the HA protected that information with everything they had."

"Nacht, she's still a threat, and the other heroes are going to arrive in just a couple of seconds, are you sure you can continue the battle?"

Nacht nodded, his determination unwavering. He sprinted back towards Yuen, who was desperately trying to regain her composure. Before he could get to Yuen, two B-grade heroes suddenly appeared on the rooftop, one had a sword in his hands and was about to slash down, while another had his arms extended forward, his fingers intersecting with one another before a shockwave erupted from them.

Nacht was sent flying back thanks to the shockwave before the other hero suddenly disappeared from the spot, appearing in front of Nacht in an instant, his sword slashing down at him.

Nacht used the glove on his right hand, the one Blorg had made for him, to defend against the sword. He quickly used his powers to cover the glove with his red energy before compressing it as much as he could.

He wasn't planning on creating a barrier or anything, he was planning on sending a powerful blast of energy at the sword, forcing it to bounce back and damaging the hero. 

Just as the sword was about to hit the glove, Nacht's eyes widened as he saw Yuen grab the sniper rifle and take aim while Carl's voice echoed in his head.

"Behind you, Beam Guy!"

It was as if time had suddenly stopped for Nacht who was able to see everything.

One hero was attacking him from the front, his sword almost touching his glove, below him, Beam Guy, the strongest of the heroes present, had spread his arms and was glowing, he was about to launch a powerful beam of energy at Nacht from below, one as large as his body, and from over a hundred meters away, Yuen was aiming at him with the rifle, ready to shoot at any moment.

The third B-grade hero was running at Yuen, Nacht didn't know if their plan was for him to shield her, or perhaps they had another plan.

'Whatever I do now, I will get hit, one attack will hit me for sure.' Nacht thought as he realized the severity of the situation.

It was checkmate.

No matter what he does, he will be injured, and quite severely at that, even dying is not out of the realm of possibilities.

"Well if that's so, then let's go you bastards, let me see what you got!" Nacht suddenly yelled out as his glove shone a bright red light before a powerful blast sent the hero with the sword flying back.

The glove started disintegrating as Nacht was overloading it, causing it to do much more than it was made for.

The hero that sent a shockwave had his eyes opened wide as he saw the badly burnt and mutilated body of his comrade fly above him. He quickly jumped up to catch him and save him, only to see something stuck in his body upon doing so.

His eyes widened again, but it was too late as Nacht had used the glove to not only create the powerful blast but to also place a bomb on the hero's body.

A powerful explosion took place in the air, causing Yuen to have some difficulty with visibility, but she was able to quickly find Nacht, who was falling down and was creating his wings again to try and fly away, only for a powerful beam of energy to suddenly strike him from below.

No, it didn't hit him actually, it grazed him, causing his right wing, arm, and leg to be destroyed.

Yuen smirked as she pulled the trigger, causing Nacht's head to suddenly have a hole in it as her laser passed through it, only for her eyes to suddenly widen

as Nacht started dissipating in the air, turning into red fragments that were blown away by the wind.

Suddenly, just as two figures fell down from the smoke of the explosion, Nacht flew through the smoke and charged at Yuen.

His entire body was burned badly thanks to the beam of energy and his wings were slowly dissipating, but a wide smile was plastered on his face.

Yuen froze for a moment as Nacht's eyes met hers. He was smiling widely in a crazed manner. His entire body was black from the burns, but his milky white teeth were still visible, as was the blood that was continuously flowing out of his mouth.

His hair was gone, his ears were halfway gone, and his clothes were almost completely destroyed, but to Yuen, Nacht didn't look like a person who was about to die, but one who was having the time of his life.

"This is awesome, you guys are not half-bad at all!" Nacht shouted, his voice completely different from before as his throat was damaged as well.

He appeared in front of Yuen quickly, only for a hole to appear on his chest as Yuen shot him from up close, but Nacht didn't even flinch.

"Sorry, you missed," Nacht said as he suddenly became enveloped in his red energy. He spread his arms wide, just like Beam Guy did before, but instead of launching a beam of energy, he allowed the energy to explode all around him, destroying the last couple of floors of the building and causing him to be impossible to be noticed as the red explosion shielded him from sight.

'He did the same thing as Yuen, well, a similar thing.' Carl thought as he looked at the screen.

'He created a doppelganger with his ability and made it go a bit lower than him while he used a small blast to get a bit higher and be shielded by the smoke, making it impossible for Yuen to see him.'

'He deliberately let himself be hit by the beam, barely surviving before attacking Yuen.'

'His powers are healing him quickly, did this guy just get an awakening, did his ability just evolve and become even more powerful during this battle?'

Carl's thoughts were a mess as he stared at the screen before he sighed deeply.

"Unfortunately, Yuen is still not dead."

"Yeah, that b actually used the same trick again, dammit, if not for the fact I'm so heavily injured …"

"Dammit, I swear I'm going to kill her, I'm going to torture her for days and make her beg me to kill her in the end!" Nacht shouted in anger as he ran away from the scene of battle.
