Trouble In Apocalypse!

Jason was ready, he had multiple layers of clothes on with a backpack filled with food.

The sun was blistering, Jason had to squint his eyes to see and the streets were deserted.

He knew he needed more food, the shops were the first thing that was raided.

Jason also knew he couldn't be seen on the streets or that would be the easiest way to be spotted by these zombies.

Jason was used to being alone so surviving the apocalypse alone didn't scare him but he knew that he might need a strong group because his enemies wouldn't just be zombies but humans as well.

"Well, let's begin!" Jason slapped his face, trying to give himself a pep talk because he knew that he would need all the motivation needed.

Jason heard a scream in the distance and his instinct wasn't to go there and be a hero but dart in the other direction.

He was surprised that the system didn't interfere but he saw a young girl running in his direction. Jason didn't even wait for her to get close before he took to his heels.

He ran like it was a fucking tiger chasing him and he didn't look back, there was no shame in retreat.

Jason outran the girl, leaving her in the dust but he remembered then that zombies couldn't run and there was nothing even chasing the girl now that he thought about it.

Jason didn't run for long before he exhausted his stamina, his stamina was not very impressive.

He was breathing like a dog that just chased a ball, but his breathing became steadier as he composed himself.

"Who was that? I wonder what she was running from.." Jason thought to himself but before even a minute passed, he saw the girl come into view.

Her stamina wasn't impressive, it was just Jason's stamina that was shitty.

Jason couldn't believe she had caught up and hid around the corner so she couldn't see him.

He didn't know what twisted thing whatever this system was would make him do.

The last thing he wanted to do was hurt a girl but he didn't need to worry about all that because he was out of view already.

Jason was surprised, however, when the girl came to meet him around the corner.

"What? How did you see me!?" Jason asked but the girl looked confused.

"If you could see me, what made you think I couldn't see you? Sight works both ways you know, dipshit!" The girl responded bluntly, she was breathing heavily.

She too was out of breath but this meant that Jason had the stamina of a sixteen-year-old girl.

"You do have a point," Jason said defeated, but now she had entered his sphere.

Jason just knew that she would be better not having met him because now, she was indirectly in danger but the system was once again quiet.

"My sister needs help, she is stuck…" The girl said. Jason noticed she was clothed rather heavily, wearing a sweater and long trousers.

"But seeing you, I don't even know if you have the strength to help her." The girl said as she turned around to walk away but Jason took this as an insult to his masculinity.

Not that he had any but he wanted to reinvent himself, he needed to exert himself as strong because strength was the only thing that mattered in this new world.

Jason called her back, he couldn't let a child disrespect him and decided to follow her because they might need his help.

It took less than twenty minutes to get back there, and the house was still in pristine condition.

Jason was content camping here for a bit, he realized that these people might have had the same idea as him.

The girl entered the house and Jason followed behind her, but the moment he stepped a foot in the door, he felt a hard blow to the side of his head.

Jason stumbled onto the floor, his vision was blurry and he could feel the bag on his back being pulled off him. He tried to fight but it was in vain.

"Y-You fucking bit-!…" Jason muttered before losing consciousness.

He woke up to himself being tied up, and two girls rummaging through his bag.

"Fuck me, I forgot the first rule of the apocalypse is to trust no one!" Jason thought to himself, he partly hoped that the sister that was stuck would be some fit hottie.

Jason knew this new world would cut off his access to porn so he wanted as much mental image as he could get for later use.

Jason was stunned by how beautiful the girl before him was, she had a tattoo on the side of her neck but it was a word in a different language, Mandarin to be exact.

Jason noticed that the younger girl that was heavily clothed moments ago wasn't.

What he saw sort of horrified him because the kid's body was riddled with scars and they didn't look self-inflicted either.

Jason's eyes softened the moment he saw this but he didn't want them to know he was awake just yet because something told him these ladies had no interest in killing him.

They just wanted what he had which was understandable, this was a world where survival of the fittest was and they used their strength to their advantage.

Jason knew if he saw the scars he would have been on guard hence why she covered it.

"Hurry up! We need to get rid of him before he wakes up!" The younger girl said and Jason had the most random idea.

"AAAARRRGGGHHH!" Jason screamed out of the blue and started shaking like a madman, and the girls jolted back in turn and Jason started laughing because their reaction was a lot funnier than he thought. Jason had escaped the rope, whoever tied it did so terribly.

The older girl reached for a hammer and Jason immediately raised his hands to show that he meant no harm but before things could escalate.

They all heard the voices of men outside and this put all of them on guard.

[Ding!]

[Quest Received!]

[Protect The Girls!]

This instinctively allowed Jason to know whatever was behind that door was a threat and it was up to him to make sure nothing happens to them.
