157. Torture

A large bucket of water was poured on the heads of the two people, and ice-cold water seemed to send a shock through their systems, forcing both men awake.

"Phh! What the fuck is happening? What is going on right now?"

"Rise and shine, friends."

The two men looked towards the sound, and all of a sudden, the memories of their last conscious moments flooded back into their brains.

"LUCIUS!!"

Hearing this, Lucius shook his head with a look of obvious displeasure on his face. "There's no need to scream; we have soundproof magic. No matter what you say, no matter how loud you call, nobody will hear you."

Hearing Lucius's eerie words, the hearts of the two men sank. Chris, either unaware or in simple denial, roared back at Lucius.

"Lucius, you've lost your mind! The Montford Family will never let you off! Even if you kill us, they will drag you out and crush you to pieces. Everyone you loved and cared about will be put to death along with us."
