-Interlude- : The Looming Threat

It was a vast barren wasteland of scorched earth. An empty land surrounded by volcanoes and burning wreckage. It was lifeless and filled with the burning stench of death and nihility. It was destruction in its purest form.

Yet in the middle of it all stood a lone figure, a woman with spiky burning crimson hair, covered in metallic armor in the shape of a mechanical dragon. Twin metal dragon heads were linked on her back as she stared at those who challenged her earlier, atleast their ashes that is.

Her violent crimson eyes narrowed as she looked at the sky in complete boredom. She sighed and as she was about to fly away she noticed a disturbance above her. She narrowed her eyes and saw a giant formless maw open above the skies.

As the garganta opened two male firgures stepped out of it. This gained her curiosity as she flew up and wanted to see who dared to invade her territory. They were looking down at her as they floated up in the air as if they're standing on the air itself.

One of those figures was Shirosaki ichigo himself. The other one is a tall, muscular man with light blue spiky hair and light blue eyes, the latter including green lines below them, similar to the eye markings on the Panthera genus of cats.

His attire consists of a white hakama, a black sash and a ragged white jacket with an upturned collar. The inner lining of his jacket is black and he wears it with the sleeves rolled up and leaving it open to expose his muscular chest.

He had a bone mask in the form of a predator's jawbone on the right side of his mouth. There is a hollow hole in his stomach and a large number six on his back. He put his hands on his pocket as he eyed the red haired woman that was flying towards them.

"Oi Shirosaki! Let me handle this." He said as he grinned as he exhuded killing intent towards the woman. Shirosaki clicked his tongue. "Whatever. Make it Quick, Grimmjow."

Grimmjow laughed as he cracked his knuckles and awaited his opponents arrival.

"Don't kill her." Shirosaki said simply as he crossed his arms. The latter nodded their head as he smiled towards the red haired woman.

She stared at the two of them as she govered above the air with her twin headed dragon jetpacks.

"Humans?" She said as she tilted her head, "Bold of you to come here." She said with a grin filled with malice.

Grimmjow turned towards Shirosaki with a laugh, "Us? Humans? Hahahahahahaha! That's the funniest shit I've heard all day!" The red haired woman furrowed her brows, "Then what are you? Some new form of Nikke?"

Grimmjow shook his head, "Whatever we are? That shit don't matter. Oi! Woman! Are you the strongest one here?" He said as he grinned. This time it was the red haired woman's turn to laugh, "Do you see anyone else alive?"

Grimmjow nodded his head, "You wanna fight?" He said simply. He didn't even bother to keep the pleasantries. The red haired woman grinned, "Try not to die quickly."

The two charged at one another and sent out a punch. The red haired woman was sent flying towards the nearest mountain. Grimmjow clicked his tongue, "That's a little disappointing."

"HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!! Now we're talking!" The woman screamed as she shot laser beams from the twin dragon heads towards Grimmjow. However he just dodged those easily. HE grinned as well as he charged towards her. Before he could get close however a loud roar resounded from the wreckage.

What came out was a gigantic mechanical red wolf armed with all sorts of weapons. She shot towards Grimmjow with all sorts of attack. However Grimmjow was unaffected as he opened his palms and aimed it towards the incoming projectiles.

<<Cero>>

A blue beam of light shot out from his hands erasing everything that came his way. However the metallic wolf was already lunging at him as soon as he blasted his cero. Two large metal claws were closing in on him yet he was standing still.

<<Hierro>>

He took the attack head on without as much leaving a scratch. Seeing that her attacks were ineffective she directly bit down on his head thinking it was his weak spot. However as soon as she bit down she felt like she was biting down on an extremely tough metal plate. However she could see Grimmjow bleed a bit as her teeth sunk on his flesh making him griin.

"Hooooh, not bad." He said as he held her metallic maw with his bare hands. Preventing her from biting through his flesh. He slowly pried open her mouth and slammed her back down on the ground.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This is the first time someone has made me feel like this!! MORE! FIGHT ME MORE HUMAAANNNN!!!" The red haired woman screamed as she laughed madly. Grimmjow grinned, "Now we're talking."

He vanished from his spot and appeared beside her. He slammed his fist towards the mechanical red wolf's head sending her tumbling on the ground. As she regained her balance she kept firing missiles towards grimmjow to create some distance between the two of them.

Grimmjow clicked his tongue as he fired more cero towards the projectiles. The red wolf jumped up in the sky and slowly transformed into a twin headed mettalic dragon. It fired twin laser beams towards Grimmjow.

He just grinned and crossed his arms.

<<Danku>>

He said simply as an invisible wall blocked the twin lasers aimed towards him. The beams split up and disappeared off in the far distance creating large explosions.

The twin headed dragon spat out massive amounts of fire in its mouth wanting to incinerate Grimmjow. Howeer this time he drew his blade and turned it. He then slit his fingers on his own blade. He threw his hands up creating an arc with his blood as he aimed his open palms towards the incoming flames.

<<Gran Rey Cero>>

A violent blue ball of bure reishi formed in his hands. Several jagged arcs of reishi burst out from the blue ball. He then fired it towards the dragon blowing away the flames along with the dragon itself.

A loud explosion resounded as the woman was hit directly sending her careening back down on the ground. The mechanical dragon was nowhere to be seen. Just the battered body of the red haired woman who lay in a weblike crater on the ground.

Grimmjow Stood infront of her looking down on her. "Well? What are you waiting for? Finish me..." She said weakly.

Grimmjow laughed at her, "The weak have no right to tell me what to do."

Shirosaki appeared beside Grimmjow, "Well, atleast you didn't kill her." He sighed. He then looked down on the woman. "Well woman? Do you feel weak? Do you want more power?" He said as he grinned towards her.

The woman looked away. "They call me Nihilister. Tell me human... Are you stronger than my Queen?" She said as she looked straight at Shirosaki's eyes. The latter grinned as he pointed towards the sky.

<<Cero>>

A black beam on pure destruction shot towards the sky blowing away all the ash and smoke on the sky. A huge hole was created in it showing the blue skies of the planet. She opened her eyes wide. Then after a beat of silence, she laughed madly.

"We can make you stronger. Your appetite for destruction will be satiated once you join us. This broken world limits your true potential. We can show you true destruction if you join us." He said as he presented her a transparent glass container. A circular gem was incased in it. It was pulsating pure power. Enough power to break the boundaries of logic and reality itself. The Hogyoku.

"What is your goal?" She said as she stared at the Hogyoku.

Shirosaki looked up in the sky, "Control. We want the power to control destiny itself."

Nihilister closed her eyes. "Give me that. I'll kill everyone here and then... I will join you." She said as she grinned madly. The two men infront of her laughed as they joined her in her quest of carnage.

Slowly but surely, the wheels of fate are slowly turning. The days of peace are slowly drawing to a close. The age of war is nearing as more and more worlds succumb to their influence. Can Naoe Yamato and his group prevent the incoming danger?

Who knows, but to fight those who aim to break the chains of fate... You must break away from the very same shackles yourself...

Author's Note: Finally! The story has begun to pick up. The first act of volume one has finally concluded. The story will ramp up from here on out. I hope you all will keep reading till the end.
