Ch 18-Drink's First, Vengance After
After having the system send out the invitation looked outside and noticed that the sun was going down, Although it was night already I still didn't feel tired so I decided to go outside hoping that a 'certain' dragon wouldn't come by and bother my free time.
Going out of the hotel I walked around the city until I finally reached the place I was looking for after asking around
"Angels Share" I muttered under my breath as I read the name of the drinking pub that was in front of me.
Besides Good Hunter, I also wanted to come to the famous Angels Share that was shown in the game.
Going to the door I opened it and was greeted by the lively atmosphere of tons of people laughing and drinking together while standing on tables singing songs.
"🎶There will come a soldier🎶

🎶He will tear your cit-🎶" the people sang, whether it be adventurers, workers, or common citizens they all sang in unison as they enjoyed their drinks.
Looking at the scene a smile crept up my face as I felt that I was finally having the fantasy adventure I always wanted. fighting a dragon with an Ex-Girlfriend rank grudge is cool and all but this really is something else.
going inside more a waiter approached me and said
"Welcome customer to Angel Share, place Have a seat," she said to me with a workplace smile
Looking around I managed to find an empty table at the corner of the first floor. I sat down there and the waiter approached me once again.
"What would you like to have today sir?" she asked me
"Hmm, I would like some dandelion wine with some appetizers, any recommendations for that?" I asked
"Hmm~ if you want some appetizers then you would want to try some of our barbecue Boar skewers," she said after she thought about it a bit.
"If that is the case then I would like some," I said as she nodded and went away with my order. a few minutes later she came back with a bottle of dandelion wine along with a glass and a plate containing some barbecue boar skewers.
"Here ya go sir one order of Dandelion wine and barbecue boar skewers," she said as she put down the order in front of me and left to take the orders of other customers.
After she gave me my order I started eating as I also poured myself a glass of wine and cooled it with my [Cryo Vision].
*Gulp*
"Ahh~, that hits the spot," I said as I drank some of the wine happily.
Back in my world, I lived in America where the legal drinking age was 21, but my family was Mexican so 21 means 18 for us. Sometimes after coming back from school me and my mom would pop some wine and snacks as we watched some of her K-dramas or some of my Anime together.
Those were good times, the best times for me if I would be so bold as to say. Although it is a dream for every weeb to go to another world and have awesome adventures. sometimes it makes you forget how good having a simple life can be.
And at times like this when I'm drinking this wine all alone, I wish my mom was here to drink it with me. Hope she came out alright from the accident safe, I wouldn't want my brothers to be all alone after all.
As I was reminiscing about my past all by myself the door opened again as the next person that came in made my eyes go wide open
A woman whose outfit consists of a blue cape on her right shoulder, a backless black leotard covered in white on top, white sleeves, a blue tie, a pair of black gloves with blue palms, blue stockings, and thigh-high boots. It was Eula Lawrence and the main back in my gaming days.
you know when you go to a fan convention and you finally meet that famous person you always wanted to and want to shake their hand. yea, that's how I feel right now, her sheer beauty made me breathless as once again, the game doesn't do justice to the true beauty of the characters in real life.
As I was simping inside while drinking wine casually on the outside. EUla Entered and the whole place got quiet. It was as if time stopped for everyone and a tense atmosphere enveloped the place.
"Good evening Miss Eula, have you come to have a drink again" Charles who gives drinks at the counter asked Eula
"Good evening to you as well Charles and yes I have come to have a drink," she said back to him in a graceful tone.
"I must apologize Miss Eula but it seems that all the tables are full today even here at the bar counter I am busy," he said, I could tell that this man Chares didn't have anything against Eula as most people would as it seemed more like he pitied her.
"It is fine I can just come and drink some other day," she said "And it also seems like I am not welcome here," she said coldly as literally almost everyone on the first and second floor except Me and Charles gave her a look of disgust.
"Tch, Fucking Bitch"
"Iys her just by looking at her I feel disgusted
"Wish she would just disappear"
Lots of people were whispering to each other which of course were not pretty things. All of them were talking shit behind their back without caring about the consequences. they knew that if she did anything or fought back or talked back, the only people who the people would blame would be her, that just shows how unreasonable their hate for her is. I could also see Eula holding her hand into a fist trying to hold herself back.
Dam I think this is worse than the Ex-Girlfriend grudge Davalin has, At most This is a You-Banged-My-Daughter-And-Dipped-On-Her level Grudge. I knew that people in Mondstat didn't like her but didn't think a whole Pub full of people would give this kind of look to a girl who did nothing wrong except for being born into the wrong family.
As she was about to turn around and leave I said out loud "Oi Charles what are you talking about being full, My table is still empty, but I don't blame you since my spot is all the way on the corner"

the whole pub that was talking shit about her went quiet and looked at me wondering who the crazy person inviting her was. even Eula was surprised that somebody spoke up and said that it was fine to sit with her.
poor girl I just hope she enjoys her beer today.
Still looking at me in surprise Charles said
"My apologies Miss Eula it seems that a table was still not fully occupied, If you could sit over with the gentleman there, I will also bring you your usual in a bit.
Still hesitating as she looked at me she sighed in defeat and walked towards my table.
Dam, she must want a beer that badly huh?
As she walked over the table still looking at me with caution she finally sat down in silence. after a few moments, her drink was brought to her, and her eyes lit up in joy as she finally had the drink she wanted so much.
As I was drinking my wine in silence the other people in the pub went back to doing their own thing but they still didn't stop showing their distaste for Eula.
"So, what's your name, Mine is Meliodas," I said as I tried making conversation with her.
"Eula," she said as she didn't say anything else.
Dam this is awkward I mean I didn't expect her to say anything but I still wanted to strike up a conversation.
"Sooo um, you have any hob-" I was saying before she said
"Why do you speak to me" she asked looking me in the eyes
"Huh?" I was confused by her question, I guess I can understand why since you could get a bad rep if involved with her but it hasn't happened to Amber
"Why do you try to speak to me, I'm sure that you understand that I am Eula Lawrence member of the Lawrence clan, the clan that had oppressed Mondstat for many years and caused one of the darkest times in Mondstat," she asked "I'm sure you have better people to talk to besides me"
Poor girl she might looked annoyed but she probably doesn't want me to get ostracised for being nice to her.
"Before I Answer I have a question," I asked
"Ask Away," she said in a sill cold tone
"What is this Lawrence clan Is it some kind of snack?" I asked knowing how dumb my question was.
As she was taking a sip of her beer, listening to my question she almost choked on her beer hearing the sheer stupidity that came out of my mouth.
*Cough*

She patted her chest with her hand trying to pass the beer.
"hahaha did you hear that, this kid doesn't even know the scum that is the Lawrence clan!!!" a man said as he laughed along with everyone else.
the man got up from his seat and went over to my table, Going behind me he put his arm over my shoulder and said "Listen here buddy just how this... thing said, she has the blood of those filthy Lawrence running through her, so how about you ditch her and come and have a drink with us over there" the man said.
Oh?, Did this man really call her a thing right now?
ohoho I'm fucking pissed now!, as a dedicated Eula main I can't take such slander directed towards her, I may sound like a simp but being called a thing just because she is from the Lawrence clan, this pisses me off even more than I thought it would!.
grabbing his arm that is around my shoulder I tightened my hand and twisted his arm bringing him to his knees.
*Crunch*
"AGGHHH" he screamed in pain. the others hearing this all brought out their weapons.
"wait don't" Eula Said as she got worried about what was about to happen
Feeling irritated at everyone I released my [Intermidiate-Conqueror Haki] making them all fall to their knees except Charles and Eula.
*Boom*
*Woosh*
Nobody could move as I unleashed my haki like an ocean overflowing the tavern. Seeing them not go down I said " You know I think I will be needing you all to take a nap as all of you are bothering me and my drinking buddy here so sleep tight," I said as I unleashed it more until everyone passed out.
It may sound excessive but because I'm on Eula's side everyone was going to have beef with me anyway so it's better to knock them out than to have an actual fight.
She looked back at Eula who had a surprised expression since she didn't know how the people her passed out.
Charles spoke up "Sir although you are a customer you cannot-"
Before he could finish his sentence I put a huge bag of mora in front of him
*Clink*
Looking at the bad with a glint in his eye he grabbed it and said
"*Cough* Just make sure it doesn't happen again dear Customer," he said without an inch of shame.
"yea don't worry about it, By the way, bring some round for me and the lady," I said
"Of course sir," he said
Looking back at Eula she was still bewildered because of the whole situation, She probably hadn't had anyone stand up for her before besides Amber and she can't be with her all the time.
smiling at her I went back to the table and said "So, Eula would you like to have some drinks with me" I asked
"hump! It would be a waste of good drinks if didn't, these people are lucky that you got to them before I could deliver my vengeance upon- *Achoo*" she said as she sneezed cutely before she could finish her sentence.
'Dam is she blushing' I thought as I looked at Eula's embarrassed expression.

Pov Change- Eula
It's been a tiring day for me, The Acting Grand-Master had ordered my reconnaissance team to scout the three temples spread through Mondstat for an important mission in regards to Stormterror. Although she hasn't told me the reason for it, I still trust her judgment as she was the person chosen to be the Acting Grandmaster by Grand Master Varka and a person that I can call a friend besides Amber.
I've already gone back to headquarters and reported to Jean that there weren't any abnormalities and that the path was cleared for when they were ready to do whatever they were going to do.
"*Sigh* I need a drink," I said in a tired tone
As I was walking down the streets of Mondstat I could feel the stares I always receive, Disgust, Hatred, and pity. those were the looks I received each time I walked down these streets.
At this point I've grown used to it, the way everyone looks at me and views me... but it never gets easier. this unjust hatred is shown towards the blood of my clan. to each and every member without a single glance they are all treated below trash, though don't blame them considering ur history and the rest of the surviving members of our clan.
I had left my clan in hopes of clearing my clan's name, by showing the people of Mondtsta that a member of the Lawrence Clan could be different. But things are easier said than done, although I had managed to join the Knights of Favonius through my skills people still looked down on me and spoke ill of me behind my back. Some even said that the whole reason I had joined in the first place was to take down the Favonious Knight from the inside.
But that's not the truth all I've ever wanted to do was clear my family name in hopes of everyone seeing us in a new light but no matter how much I worked for Mondstat, no matter how much I held back from the insults directed towards me, and no matter how hard I try to make things different nothing seems to change.
But I can't give up!, Not now when I've come so far. Maybe if I try a little harder the people of Mondstsa can accept us but besides me, my clan also needs to change and my uncle's shenanigans and his unbearable attitude make things easier.
"HHhhaaa~ il think about this tomorrow I need a nice cold beer, or maybe something that's just strong enough to make me forget my troubles," I said in an exasperated tone
I kept walking until I reached the door of my favorite Pub.
"Hope it is empty tonight," I said in High Hopes
Opening the door I was greeted by the sight of people merrily singing with each other and drinking. As soon as I entered the whole place went quiet as every person in the bar besides Charles gave me a threatening glare.
"Good evening Miss Eula, have you come to have a drink again" Charles who gives drinks at the counter asked me.
"Good evening to you as well Charles and yes I have come to have a drink," I said back to him in a graceful tone as it had become a habit of mine to act and speak like this because of my Noble's Training.
"I must apologize Miss Eula but it seems that all the tables are full today even here at the bar counter I am busy," he said, I could tell that Charles never held animosity against me unlike everyone, he just treated me like any other customer he would serve.
I wish all the other merchants were like him since sometimes I need to have Amber buy some necessities for me because, unlike Charles, most people of Modstst won't sell me anything.
"It is fine I can just come and drink some other day," I said "And it also seems like I am not welcome here," I said coldly as Everyone kept their disgusted look on me begging me to go away, avoiding me and hating me like a plague.

were the words I could hear coming out of everyone's mouth. At this point, they are even whispering but saying it straight to my face without a care
'Why must I Endure this injustice!' I said as I held my hand in a fist trying to hold back.
no matter what I do whether I stay quiet, fight, or talk back, everything will come back to me no matter if the people will all blame me saying that it is because of the Lawrence blood flowing through my veins, that no matter what we won't change wen they are the ones that won't change at all!. The hypocrisy and the grudge that they hold toward me will never change.
'Is this the right path, Will things really change if I show them that we can change' I asked myself in my mind wondering if the things I have done up till now were worth it.
'Now I'm thinking about such useless things without a drink, *Sigh* I should just go back outside and find a good tree to sleep today in since it's getting dark already I thought to myself
As I was about to leave, something happened that I would remember for the rest of my life.
"Oi Charles what are you talking about being full, My table is still empty, but I don't blame you since my spot is all the way on the corner," said a man who was sitting alone, and drinking wine in in a hidden corner of the Pub.

Everyone in the Pub had turned silent wondering which crazy person allowed me to sit with them. looking more clearly at him, he had a handsome chiseled face that was handsome but not at the same time however that worked. he also had his jet black long hair tied up into a high ponytail. along with a dark trenchcoat and green and gold shortswords with a dragon engraved on the scarab hanging from the back of his waist.
I was surprised that anybody would consider allowing me to drink at the same table. most times that I have to, people would just stand up and leave.

Hearing his words I hesitated for a bit thinking of what the consequences would be if I did, but at this point, I didn't care all I wanted was to drink in peace today.

Sitting down, Charles finally brought my beer I had so much wished for this whole time. Picking the cup I took a sip and I could feel the cold burning sensation down my throat I had longed for this whole time.
The man sitting across from me also drank his wine in silence until he spoke to me "So, what's your name, Mine is Meliodas," he said as he introduced himself.
'So he doesn't know who I am?, And his name is Meliodas were have I heard that name before?' I asked myself in my mind
"Eula," I said as I tried not to make too much contact with him, I didn't want other people to hate him just because he speaker to me, not knowing who I was.
Saying those words he went quiet and the atmosphere became awkward.
Trying to break the awkwardness he spoke again "Sooo um, you have any hob-"
"Why do you speak to me" I asked looking him in the eyes, scanning them to see if he says any lies.
"Huh?" He said in a confused, yet starled tone.

It's not that I wanted to be rude to him but... I just don't want him to be cast out because he talked to me, Of all people know how that feels, he looks like a traveler so maybe that's why he does not know who I am.
As I was still looking into his eyes looking for lies in his next words, a smile grew on his face not of pity, but of genuine kindness, as if he understood my troubles, my hardships, as if he was the person who understood me best in all of the worlds.
Before I could say something the smile disappeared back into the stoic face he had before and he said "Before I Answer I have a question." he asked
"Ask Away," I said in a cold tone trying to push him away, it felt weird seeing his smile, but at the same time... it felt nice, the feelings that his genuine smile conveyed were something I don't experience often besides Amber.
As I was about to drink beer, he said one of the stupidest things I had ever heard in my life.
"What is this Lawrence clan Is it some kind of snack?" he said without an inch of realization of how absurd his question was.
*Cough*

Hearing his words I choked on my beer, paying my chest as I tried passing the beer stuck in my throat. Laughs resounded throughout the building as the others also couldn't believe what they had heard, at most, they probably thought that he had made a bad joke without thinking much of his words.
"hahaha did you hear that, this kid doesn't even know the scum that is the Lawrence clan!!!" a man said as he laughed along with everyone else.
The man got up from his seat as the others kept laughing, he walked towards our table until he was behind Meliodas. 'Huh? why is his face becoming like that' I asked myself as I saw a vein pop in his face in probably Anger
'Is he getting mad for me? No that couldn't be it as we have only met today, Perhaps he doesn't like people touching him?' I asked myself, wondering the possibilities for his irritation.
Before I could react properly to eh situation in front of me, Meliodas grabbed his arm twisting it and binging him on his knees in pain.
"AGGHHH" he screamed in pain. the others hearing this all brought out their weapons.
"Wait don't!!!" I said in panic as I didn't want things to escalate more than they already were. but before I could do anything once again everyone suddenly fell onto their knees as if something was pushing them down by force
'What!, Why is everyone kneeling!!' I asked myself in confusion, as I was trying to find out what was happening. things were happening so fast that my brain couldn't keep up with the continuous sudden change of situations that were happening.
The mysterious man by the name of Meliodas spoke once again "You know I think I will be needing you all to take a nap as all of you are bothering me and my drinking buddy here so sleep tight" he said, as everyone looked like they were saying a mountain behind their back sweating as they kept trying to keep their consciousness awake
'Wait this scene is familiar' I suddenly remembered how a few days ago a sudden pressure swept throughout the city causing almost everyone to pass out.
Another realization hit me 'Wait!! Is he 'that' Meliodas, the one I saw in the Steambird newspaper that fended off Stormterror twice!!!' I suddenly remembered
My mind had gone overdrive trying to find a reason why a person like him had defended me without knowing me at all, but at that point, I woke up from my stupor and realized that everyone had passed out.
Charles spoke up "Sir although you are a customer you cannot-"
Before he could finish his words Meliodas dropped a bag containing at least a month's worth of my salary casually at the counter without saying a word.
a sudden glint of greed appeared in his eyes and he said as he grabbed the bag of Mora. "*Cough* Just make sure it doesn't happen again dear Customer," he said as he diditn care what happened as long as blood wasn't spilled and money was spent.
"Yeah don't worry about it, By the way, bring me some rounds for me and the lady over there," he said in a confident tone.
"Of course sir" he said
As I was still Bewildered at the sudden change of events, he walked up to me and said with a smile ""So, Eula would you like to have some drinks with me"
I didn't know how to respond so I said without thinking "hump! It would be a waste of good drinks if didn't, these people are lucky that you got to them before I could deliver my vengeance upon- *Achoo*"
I sneezed cutely as my face started heating up in embarrassment.
'Oh my Archon I couldn't even finish my sentence without screwing up' I said as I kept blushing and a wide grin appeared on his face.
Looking at his grin I felt something inside me that I had never felt before 'What is this feeling I don't think I've drunk enough to feel drunk' I said in confusion.

'Oh well for now let's just enjoy the drinks, I've never had the joy of drinking without restraint and people looking at me like they want to burn me alive' I said in a happy tone.
Looking at the man in front of me a smile bloomed on my face as I felt welcomed without pity for the first time outside of Amber.
