A Minor Misstep in Judgement

• UA High • 7:39 • Minoru Mineta For some reason I got a itch on the back of my neck I didn't know why but I shrugged it off as I ran down the 4th floor hallway towards the stairs *Alright then Aizawa sir now knows it's me and now all I have to do is get to clothes storage, get a new uniform, then get to class and surprise everyone with my big reveal* I thought as I turned a corner at the stairs and as I was going up the stairs I ran into another familiar face as we both nearly fell down the stairs but stopped half the way through because I got stuck to the floor "Oh uhh hello there sorry I was just in such a rush" said the person who nearly made the both of us crack our skulls by falling down the stairs. I helped them to get back their balance before taking a look at them "Oh hey are you ok? Wait are you new here at UA?" And as I got a good look at them it struck me that I nearly came tumbling down a flight of stairs because of this person *Huh? Oh it's you... I was wondering where you've been I haven't seen you yet the whole time I was running around the school* I thought as the person I was looking at held a notebook in their left hand was laughing nervously while they kept saying sorry for nearly killing us. It was him no doubt about it "Hi I'm Midoriya Izuku nice to meet you" Midoriya said holding his hand out to shake my own and in return I did just that, as we shook hands my hand got stuck to his and as we pulled our arms away to get free, my arm stretched like slime *Damnit would my hand just snap off already* I thought before my hand snapped freeing us. My hand however was disconnected from my wrist and it got stuck onto Midoriya's hand and while it initially scared the green haired boy, my hand that was stuck to his turned into a purple liquid once again fell off of his hand onto the floor and came inching back to me and merging with my body again as it formed my hand back where I lost it and while Midoriya and I stared at each other, the broccoli boy stared with stars in his eyes in a state of what seemed to be a mix of disbelief, shock and also a large amount of interest in his eyes. "Oh well hi but there was no need to introduce yourself I already know who you are" I said before I realized that I was shoving my foot in my mouth as I am about to give myself away before class starts "Oh you do... but I don't think we've met before though have we?" He questioned and I nearly began to worry before I came up with an excuse "Oh well who wouldn't know you? You are the green haired kid that took down the Zero Pointer, broke your arm and nearly killed yourself in the process during the entrance exam who doesn't know who you are" I said confidently insuring to myself with a smug smirk that I just saved myself... before that smirk quickly vanished when Midoriya spoke again "Oh I guess so but I didn't see you at the day of the entrance exam before the test started everyone that participated was gathered together but I don't think I saw you there" it was at that point I realized that I looked completely different that day compared to now. "Oh yes but see there were alot of people there also participating so it's mostlikely that I just wasn't in the same room as you were" I said and that was a total lie well more like half a lie we were both in the same room I remember seeing him if not for a split second into the entrance exam before everyone was separated for the written exam "Oh I guess that makes sense... oh hey I just remembered I didn't ask for your name yet so do you mind telling me your name and could you please describe to me your quirk too in as much detail as possible" Midoriya inquired opening his notebook and seemingly to pull a pen out of thin air with how fast he took it out while he was shoving his foot deep down into my throat... wait pause. *I do not even know how my quirk works now after my whole change so how could I possibly describe it to you?* I thought as I scratched the back of my neck in irritation "Oh well I have somethings to do so I need to be on my way..." I said as I began running up the stairs "Oh... Well Uhh I hope we can meet again!! And I hope you can tell me about your quirk!!" He yelled from the staircase as I ran up to the 5th floor "Sure I suppose if you say so Midoriya see you in class" I said as I ran up the stairs. *My hand just snapped off of my wrist, got stuck to Midoriya's, before it fell off, inched back to me and merged with me as my hand grew back...*, *And even before that I got nervous again, melted into a puddle and though I couldn't run because I was devoid of any legs I imagined swimming and slid across the floor incredibly fast which was probably equivalent to my top running speed which is actually crazy as I was pretty fast for my size before... well 3 weeks ago* I thought as I began slowing down and started pacing myself up the stairs *Ever since yesterday my quirk has changed... and it's really complex now and not as simple as it was 3 weeks prior* I thought before I realized that I would have to master this, new version... of my quirk *Ugh that's really gonna be such a pain in the ass* I thought with a dejected groan. As I reached the 5th floor I realized that I shoved a foot long, foot sandwich in my mouth and swallowed it whole as I told Midoriya I'd meet him in class a stupid mistake on my part I will not lie about that *Oh my... what is wrong with me today! I nearly ruined my chance to show off!* I thought as I ran down the hall of the 5th floor and made it to the storage room "Oh hey kid wassup?" The man at the storage room exclaimed while holding up, well more like trying to hold up peace signs *Is this guy alright? He is acting way to laid back to be a staff member isn't he? Wait nevermind that right now* I thought as I shook my head got rid the thoughts "Uhh excuse me but I was sent here by principal Nezu to receive a new uniform because my old one will not fit me" I said as I bowed down in respect for the man "No need to be so formal man I'm also a student here at UA just like you" the man said and immediately it shocked me because this beast of a man dwarfed me in height which was crazy because I ended up growing taller in the past 3 weeks I was at the hospital and if I guessed he was a inch or two taller than Shoji and not only that he was even more built than Tenya after I realized that and I wondered how this man of all people was a damn student. I then looked at the man and he seemed to understand my disbelief "Ahh I understand but hey don't worry it's all good, now let me get your uniform real quick" he said as I just waited while he was checking me up and down before he turned around and must've went to the back to go and get my uniform *Now that I think about it how'd UA get a uniform so small that it would fit me!? Actually I am pretty sure principal Nezu was actually smaller than me whenever I saw him maybe they measured him and made a size big enough to fit me? Actually how'd they get a uniform big enough for this guy in the first place?!* I thought as I waited and the man returned with my uniform I then went to the changing room that was nearby and changed into my school uniform *What the!? This uniform... it fits perfectly!? How in the world did he get my perfect measurements?!* I thought and was about to ponder it before I shook away those thoughts and went back to ask if he could store my clothes in the clothes storage until the end of the day. "Ah hey man you're back and it seems I was right those clothes fit you perfectly" he said with the widest but most heartwarming smile I've ever seen but I was partially thinking of how he got my perfect measurements and why I feel like I've seen his smile before "Ah sorry to ask this but is there anyway that you can store my clothes here until the end of the day?" I asked while I showed him my clothes which were on the hanger the uniform he gave me came with "Oh no problem man just give it here and I'll go and put it in the back" he said as I then gave him my hanged clothes and watched as he went to the back to store them for me "Uhh just out of curiosity I want to ask but... how did you get my exact measurements from just looking at me once?" I questioned as the man returned from the back and leaned against the wall "Oh well I don't know but I kind of have a knack for it you know?" He said laughing awkwardly "Oh alright then and thanks again for storing my clothes for me" I said as I bowed at him and he began chuckling "No need to worry man and I said you don't need to be formal and hey I'll see you later today but can I get your name so that I can tell my homeroom teacher about me storing your clothes?" He said and I was about to ask why before he spoke. "As you can see I'm on storage duty for the rest of the week because I uhm... partially broke the door off of my classroom and if I don't report to my homeroom teacher about everyone that came here for clothes or storing anything he'd have my head so I'm kind of in a tight spot " he said as he lightly chuckled while taking out a pen and sticky note, and I wouldn't want to get him into any trouble "Ok my name is Minoru... Minoru Mineta" I said as he wrote my name down and I turned to leave before "Oh wait Mineta right? You're Aiko's little brother aren't you? Now I remember!" He said with a smile on his face "What how do you know my sister?" I asked turning back to face him as he then put the note down "What Minoru don't you remember me? It's me Takeshi... Takeshi Doi?" He said and it took me what seemed like a while to realize but it was really in an instant "Wait a minute... Takeshi?! WAIT TAKESHI IS THAT YOU?!" This quirk is one of very few types that have recently begun emerging, these quirks are a collective of 2 different types of quirks that can range from emitter x mutation, mutation x transformation, transformation x emitter while there have been a few people confirmed to have this trait of having a combination of 2 types of quirks so far only 3 people have learned what the 2nd quirk type is and anyone that has this unique quirk trait but has not learned their 2nd type can not use their quirks true power. • Quirk Description: This users quirk is a family heritage quirk passed down through generations as the quirk makes the user more attached to the earth it also makes the earth an extension of the user's body: Rocks, Gems, Plants, the earth itself the user is able to control their surroundings nearly however they please being able to summon a hand, hammer or any blunt weapon from out of the ground to pound or even bind their enemies and with enough concentration and practice the user is able to control plants and gems aswell if slightly, the user is granted super natural strength and super durability as the user can turn their body into metal armor that is multiple times denser, stronger and more durable than most metals. The rest of this quirks abilities have been lost to time • Quirk Defects: The user's quirk consumes alot of the user's stamina and energy and cannot be maintained for long durations of time and because the user is connected to the earth and the quirk makes the earth an extension of the user's body if at any moment the user loses their composure it becomes harder to control their quirk and if they are in a state of distress or they become overwhelmed with anger their quirk will make the surrounding area quake as the environment would begin going out of control until the user either: regains their composure, is subdued or killed. Without hesitation I ran up and jumped into Takeshi's arms as he caught me and gave me a hug that instantly felt like he was about to crush me like a can of grape juice "O-oh sorry Minoru!! I didn't mean to hurt you" Takeshi said as he put me down and patted me on the back as I gasped for air *I-I can't believe I didn't know that Takeshi was at UA. How did I not know? And by God is he strong all of a sudden, one hug and he easily knocked the air out of my chest* I thought before taking in a deep breath and sighing deeply "Minoru are you alright? I hope I did hurt you?" Takeshi asked with a concerned tone "N-no I just... I just need to catch my breath" I said as I caught my breath and stood up to face the behemoth of a man infront of me in Takeshi. "Ok I am alright now. But wow Takeshi I didn't know you were at UA I thought you were at a hero school in South Korea what happened to that?" I asked turning my attention to Takeshi "Oh well after a uhh... incident I got sent back to Japan at the start of my 2nd year to attend UA I only found out 2 weeks ago that Aiko was in UA and when I transfered I got put in 2B" he said as he leaned against the wall. "Oh that is... bad my sister is in 2A I hope you're ok with that?" I said as I smiled awkwardly *I already knew about his feelings towards my sister, I was actually the first person he told and I accepted his feelings for her and I told him that if I wanted anyone in the world to be with my sister... it'd would be him and no one else but ofcourse my sister doesn't know this* I thought smiling at him. "No need to worry about that she already knows and we've been hanging out for a while but enough of that" Takeshi said as he turned to face me, bent down and looked at me face to face "But Minoru I heard about what happened... that you were hospitalized 3 weeks ago and only got discharged yesterday" he continued as I then looked down at the floor "Are you alright? Are you sure you're feeling good enough to go to school? I'm really worried about you" He said to which i couldn't think of what to say to him *Should I tell Takeshi... about my weird dream? I know I can trust him but... do I need to make him worry about me even more* I thought as I held my palm up, looked at it and got a flashback to... last night. I noticed that I began sweating so before I melted again I regained my composure and stopped myself from melting again *No I should tell him, he's strong and dependable I can definitely trust him to protect my parents and Aiko if I ever... stop being myself, but I can't tell him not yet atleast I have to answer some of my own questions first before I can tell anyone, and from what I remember he is a absolute tank so i don't need to worry about him getting hurt in anyway when I can finally tell him* I thought as I clenched my fist and looked up at Takeshi with a smile "No need to worry I am alright and I am going to be coming back to school from now on" I said reassuring him that I would be alright at which he took a second to look at me before sighing and smiled as he messed up my hair. "Before I go though I have a question for you... what happened at that South Korean hero school?" I asked him with a raised eyebrow as he then looked away from me to avoid eye contract which told me everything I knew "You demolished part of the school... didn't you?" I asked in a exhausted tone to which he nodded "How much of the school did you destroy?" I said as I groaned and was annoyed at the fact he tried to change the the subject to ward off my attention "It was not that much it was like there 3 of the first years classes but that doesn't matter and that's because... you really grew alot since I last saw you huh?" He said smiling once again and I couldn't help but forgive him for changing the subject again "Sure I guess I did but I have to get to going so I will see you later" I said as I walked off to class while waving my hand in the air "Sure and don't forget to come back for your clothes" I heard him say as he kept getting further and further away. I glanced over to my phone and saw that I still had a little over 20 minutes before I needed to get to class so I decided I'd check the rest of the school out. • 7:50 Am • Kaminari Denki I had just walked into the school with Sero and Shoji by my side talking about some manga and anime. Shoji wasn't a big animanga fan but he did read and watched a few meanwhile Sero was a big anime and manga fan and I also liked anime and manga but Sero really liked anime and manga almost as much as Mineta and they both tried to convert me into reading and watching as much as they did, which felt like they were going to convert me to join a cult but they backed off before long "I'm telling you guys anime and manga nowadays are not at the peak of what they were compared to over 100 years ago" Sero said as we all walked over to the class "Yeah sure dude but I doubt that anime and manga from over 100 years ago was even close to the same level as now" I countered as I dismayed his statement *There's no way anime from over 100 years ago was that good was it?* I thought as we walked towards the 2nd floor stairs *Well Sero does sort of make a point. He put me onto a DragonBall, Naruto and One Piece all of which are over 100 years and I have to say they are definitely some of the best anime I've seen* I thought as we reached the stairs and walked up to the 2nd floor. When we reached the 2nd floor we saw a group of our classmates standing infront of our classroom door. "Huh? I wonder what's going on now ..." Sero said with a dejected sigh and Shoji seemed to second that and while unwilling to at first we walked over to the group of students. "I'm telling you that purple haired kid has a problem with us for some reason giving me a itch I can't scratch" Jiro said as she crossed her arms "I don't know he seemed pretty friendly when I ran into him" Midoriya replied while he and Kirishima tried to calm down Bakugo who seemed like he was about to blow the door off of the classroom "Hey guys what's going on?" Sero said as he put both his hands behind his head pointing his elbows outwards "Oh hey guys I'm surprised to see you guys at class this early" Yaoyorozu said as she turned to the 3 of us "What's going on you all seem to be arguing over someone?" Shoji asked as Midoriya then turned to face us and left Bakugou to Kirishima to handle alone "Oh well we all ran into someone we haven't met before but he acted differently around all of us and now we're wondering who he is" Midoriya said as Jiro then took the stand "When we saw him he was walking up the stairs. But when he noticed we were looking at him he gave us a disinterested look and ran up to the 3rd floor". "Is that true you guys?" Sero asked turning to Ashido and Yaoyorozu "Well I was walking backwards so I didn't get to see him at all so I'm just going off of what Jiro and Yaoyorozu are saying" Ashido said as she leaned her arm on Jiro's shoulder "Well what Jiro said is true I don't believe he actually has anything against us it was probably a misunderstanding" Yaoyorozu replied in turn as she shrugged her shoulders "And why's Balugo so mad? What happened with him?" Shoji asked as Bakugo pushed back Kirishima and shoved Midoriya out of the way "I'M GOING TO MUTILATE THAT PURPLE SON OF A BI-" Bakugo yelled before Kirishima stopped him from cursing by covering his mouth. "Calm down Baku-bro you can't curse in school it's not manly" Kirishima said as Bakugo kept trying to push Kirishima off of him while Shoji was helping Midoriya back up "Why is Bakugo so mad though? What happened with you two?" Sero questioned placing his arms back at his sides. "Well when we ran into him... well more like he ran into Bakugo, he lost a little bit of balance but got back up" Kirishima said struggling to hold Bakugo back from blowing up "When I asked him if he was alright and he looked at us he immediately got nervous and said he needed to be somewhere and tried leaving" Kirishima said as Midoriya went to help him hold back Bakugo "But Bakugo wouldn't let him and kept questioning the guy" Kirishima said as Ashido took her arm off of Jiro's shoulder. "Questioning? This is Bakugo you're talking about you know that right?" Sero said in a snarky tone which only made the dynamite man more angry before Kirishima left holding Bakugo back to Midoriya and Ashido "Hey now Bakugo might be rough around the edges but he's a good guy... but yeah no Bakugo was kind of threatening him" Kirishima reluctantly said to which Sero snapped his fingers possibly confirming an assumption of his "And what happened after Bakugo threatened the guy?" I asked poking a stick at the the partially restrained lion in Bakugo. "Well when Bakugo threated the poor guy he uhh..." Kirishima said before Bakugo broke free from Midoriya and Ashido "THE MOTHERFUCKER MELTED!!" Bakugo yelled to which almost all the other students on the 2nd floor looked over at us "Calm down Bakugo you're gonna get us in trouble!" Jiro exclaimed as she covered her ears *That must've really ruffled Jiro's feathers. She has always had sensitive hearing for as long as I can remember mainly because of her quirk* I thought as I turned to look at Shoji who was covering his, Sero's and my ears meanwhile Ashido, Midoriya and Kirishima seemed like they were out of it from that scream. Kirishima than shook his head "Sorry but I think I didn't hear that properly from the ringing in my ears... did you say that he melted?" Yaoyorozu inquired with a raised eyebrow and a confused expression on her face "Well yeah you heard right... that guy melted into a dark purple puddle right infront of us, I asked him if he was alright but he began moving away at an incredible speed before we lost sight of him" Kirishima continued answering Yaoyorozu's question but when I glanced out of the corner of my eye I saw Midoriya begin writing in a notebook "Hey Midoriya what you writing over there in that notebook?" Sero asked as he moved in closer to take a look "Oh it's my hero notebook where I study different people and mostly heroes quirks and theorizing how their quirks work" he said as a calmed down Bakugo looked at the notebook before seeming to shrug it off. "And right now I'm writing down everything about this new students quirk because when I met him on the stairs to the 5th floor he shook my hand and when we stopped our hands were stuck to each other" He said as he kept writing down in his notebook with surprising speed "When we tried to get free we both pulled our arms back and his hand stretched until it snapped." Midoriya said as he began writing faster "His hand was then disconnected from his wrist and got stuck onto my hand, before his hand turned into a purple liquid, fell off of my hand, inched back to him and seemed to merge with his body" Midoriya said as he closed his notebook and put away the pen "And now that I think about it he did seem familiar and he even knew who I was but he said that he saw me during the announcements before the entrance exam but the strange thing is I don't think I saw him there" Midriya pointed out as Yaoyorozu went into deep though "Hmm so everytime any of you met him his quirk displayed a purple pigment? And his body reacted as if it were slime? And you say he seemed familiar and he knew you but you don't know him?" Yaoyorozu questioned seeming to be lost in thought trying to think of who this new kid is *Actually now that I think about it* I thought as I gestured to Shoji to come closer and I whispered something into his ear with a suggestion of mine. He then seemed to think for a bit before realizing what I was talking about and he nodded in agreement. "Uh hey guys did you all know that Mineta got discharged from the hospital yesterday?" I asked as I turned to face everyone to which Ashido, Jiro, Kirishima and Bakugo each in a concensus all looked at each other before turning back to Yaoyorozu, Sero, Midoriya, Shoji and me and they each shook their heads as if they were quadruples "Ok well he did but do any of you know if he came to school today?" I asked to which Ashido, Jiro, Kirishima, Yaoyorozu, Sero, Midoriya and Shoji all looked at each other and in another consensus as if they were septuplets they all said "No not really". *Ok this is getting a bit scary why'd they answer at the same time like that? Wait Bakugo didn't answer just now" I thought and everyone else must've caught on as we all looked at Bakugo waiting for his answer "What? I don't know who the extra you're all talking about is!!" he said and really what were we expecting he barely even knows most of our names. • 8:08 Am • Minoru Mineta I walked around the school to get my barrings of the layout of the building considering that I've been unconscious for the past 3 weeks and feel like I needed a refresher but as far as I knew it the school layout was pretty much the same as I could remember it *I guess I didn't really need to waste my time going around the school* I thought walking down the 2nd floor hallway in the direction of my class as I passed by the support classes department *Huh I've never really been to the support classes if at all I wonder what it looked like in the development studio* I thought as I then got an idea. I already knew that unless you: wanted to have some equipment made/repaired or you were invited to come test some experimental equipment or products, hero students and general education students weren't really welcomed with happy smiles to come and check out the studios. So I decided that I might take a look *Nobody knows who I am since I look so different except for Aizawa sir and principal Nezu so I won't get into trouble with any of the other teachers if I get caught...* I thought as a mischievous grin formed on my face *Plus if I had connections with some of the support class students I could probably get some perks out of it* I thought as I began rubbing my hands together before... I heard people walking over *I better get a move on I don't want to get caught being around 1 of the development studios before I even got a chance to look around* I thought as I quickly turned my head towards where the voices came from and the studio doors over and over. *It's now or never this is just a theory and... I don't really know if it will work like this but I have got no choice at this point* I thought as I closed my eyes and imagined myself as if I were water and just as I thought I would... I melted back into the puddle and my clothes just like last time also took on the same effect as my body did *Woah this is cool... I can turn myself into a puddle on command and not just whenever I get nervous or scared* I thought but I couldn't be amazed at myself for to long as those distant voice came closer and closer. *Uh oh, I better get going now* I thought as I quickly slid across the floor and through the gap under the closed door into the development studio. And as I got through into the development studio I was met with a swift fear that flowed over me as when I slid through I got trapped in a purposely placed jar that was on the floor, before I got the chance to escape someone closed the jar with a lid before picking it up. "H-hey let me out... who are you and why did you put me in this jar" I said before realizing *Well I pretty much know of 1 reason of why someone trapped me in a jar* I thought as the person who caught me began shaking the bottle slightly making me swish and swirl around but they suddenly stopped before I got dizzy "Oh d-damnit I feel like I am about to be sick!" I exclaimed from inside the jar *Wait how would that work if I just vomited while in this form?* I thought but shook away the thoughts as I realized I was going to get lost in thought and forget about my main... situation. "Well, well, well, what do we have here? You can talk so you must be sentient right? Are you some kind of living purple sludge? An experiment from one of the other classes gone rogue?" My kidnapper questioned and I knew immediately that it was a girl from their tone, the high octave of their voice and by the fact that from word alone I knew who this was based off of how they spoke to me just now. I then looked at my kidnapper and it was exactly who I expected it to be *No no no!! To be caught by her of all people... to be caught by Mei Hatsume of all people?!* I thought angrily at myself as the pink haired goggle wearing girl named Mei Hatsume smiled with excitement in her eyes *God Damnit!!* I thought as I pondered and regretted the fact of why I thought this would be a good idea.
