"You... you... you're not human! You're a robot!?" Star-Lord stared at Baymax after it removed the helmet, looking at its round inflatable white head in disbelief. He was so shocked that he stumbled over his words.
From the beginning, when Star-Lord first encountered Baymax, he felt that something was off. Add to that Baymax's unique way of expressing itself, which deepened Star-Lord's suspicions.
However, as Star-Lord spent time with Baymax, he sensed Baymax's longing for Earth and its "master," and he also noticed that Baymax was very sensitive to emotions. Gradually, he let go of his doubts and considered Baymax just a quirky Earthling.
Furthermore, the advanced functions displayed by Baymax's battle armor shifted Star-Lord's attention, so he never thought that the subordinate he recruited would turn out to be a robot, and an inflatable one at that...
"Didn't you realize that Baymax is a robot? Baymax agreed to become your subordinate for this reason, Captain. You're just too slow, and it worries Baymax." Baymax used its knack for hitting where it hurts and delivered a critical blow to Star-Lord.
"Then let me formally introduce myself. My name is Baymax, from Earth, created by my master as a personal health-assistant robot. Later, additional modules like combat and life assistance were added on top of the original functions. The intelligent core was upgraded to an artificial intelligence program, making me my master's full-time assistant.
Two years ago, during an invasion by an alien fleet on Earth, I was sent to space to carry out my master's mission and ended up stranded in sector 793 until I met you, Captain, making you my first encounter with intelligent life."
As Baymax narrated its experiences, it did so casually. However, Star-Lord and Berly on the side found it dramatic and exciting, feeling deeply moved.
"I didn't expect that in just over twenty years after I left Earth, its technology has advanced to this level! To be able to resist and defeat an alien fleet, that's truly impressive! Your master is incredible; I now believe he must be the wealthiest person on Earth. Creating a being like you goes beyond being a genius.
