An Empty Forest

Suri woke up alone. The warm body that always enveloped her was now gone. Even the bed was getting colder. She pushed herself up to look around. Indeed, she was in Birwick now. And she already spent her first night outside Northendell.

The excitement she had, made her jump to get out of the bed. But quickly, a pair of large hands catched her mid air so Suri couldn't land on the floor. She was hanging in the air. Suri took a glance over the shoulder.

"Max!"

"Now, now.. Princess… that was so unlady-like," said Maxieno who appeared at the right time.

Hu put Suri back on the ground softly. He even tidied up Suri's ruffled hair. The silkiness sensation touched his palm. He wondered how could a thick and full hair like hers felt so smooth in his hands. 

"So, today is the day, right?" Suri asked him with tiny jumps at her heels.

"Hmm... What day?"

"You said you wanna introduce me to your friends!"
