Nothing

"....Jimin?"

His head didn't turn but hers did.

Jungkook's eyes pierced into hers and Wyen's eyes held no emotion as she stared at him before Jimin turned around to leave with her still in his arms.

When Jungkook realized that Jimin isn't answering him, his hand balled into a fist of annoyance while his eyes gaped at his hands that gripped her closer than ever.

"What are you doing here? I thought you're with Dae-ni since..." Jungkook said, still half asleep, but when Jimin turned his head, he only responded his slurring voice with,

"She is thirsty."

Jungkook blinked. Once again, he couldn't help but blink before his eyes met his very dark and piercing ones.

His face held no smile for him like it used to but only the cold stare over his shoulders, which didn't even stare into his eyes.

Wyen felt her eyelids on the verge of closing and her grip on his shoulder only loosened making his eyes ever so deliberately look over her.

Looking back at her very sleepy figure that he held ever so close in his arms, jimin's lips left a deep exhale against hers that were only inches away.

Her eyes closed while the tears slipped from the corner of her eyes without her permission.

Walking forward—away from Jungkook, who stood there with his hand balling into a tight fist of agony, jimin's steps took their own time reaching the stairs.

Jungkook's eyebrows crunched while he stared at her, who laid so peacefully in the arms of a man.

A man who isn't her husband.

And he began to wonder where it went all wrong?

Where... It went all so wrong?

As he turned around, ready to turn the knob of the door, his hand felt the smooth and cold skin graze over.

A glance up at the face of whoever stood between the door and him, jungkook's hand didn't dare to move.

His crunched eyebrows immediately stretched and his lips parted while hers took a slurp of the lollipop she just put in her mouth.

Raising her head from her phone she been so into all this time, Dae-ni's eyes met Jungkook's very eagerly waiting ones.

A small smirk, she eyed his face while his body didn't move for a moment.

"Missed me?"

Missed you..?

Are you even asking?

Jungkook's breathless voice didn't meet her ears but only his mind.

And when his lips neared hers, she flinched and Jungkook paused upon noticing it very well.

A chuckle when his fingers slowly trailed up her face, Dae-ni watched Jungkook as he gently took the lollipop off her lips before his eyes scanned her face, making sure to capture every inch of her face that only held what he wanted.

The want.

The need.

The eagerness he so long craved for.

Every second he took to near his lips to hers, he watched her writhe and tremble, reacting to every little detail of attention he gave to her.

"You want it?"

Dae-ni's deep exhale is all that he needed as an answer but she parted her lips, ready to show him how much she wanted him then and there.

"What am I here for then?"

She whispered out, and her eyes followed his lips while jungkook's eyes flickered at such words before his arms wrapped around her as she wrapped hers around him.

His lips met hers and Dae-ni's hum of satisfaction made his body vibrate and his arms gripped her tight and close, wanting to feel every inch of her body.

His eyes closed, he deepened the kiss, but then, his lips paused.

Feeling her soft lips move on his, jungkook's didn't move at all.

Why?

Jungkook's body shuddered as he blinked, opening his eyes.

Jungkook felt her hands pull him closer while he froze with his lips being claimed by hers and that's when he felt it.

The pang inside his chest.

In his heart.

Deep within, it screamed at him.

It roared.

It cried but all he heard is the beat of it.

With every beat that skipped at the graze of her skin against his, jungkook's eyes tightly closed.

Dae-ni's eyebrows crunched together as she felt his lips not move at all and her lips paused as well.

Leaning away, her breathless self scanned his face, trying to figure out what caused him to stop.

Looking around, she found no soul that could've startled him.

Frowning, Dae-ni's still-closer than ever- figure slowly stepped away and her eyes went up and down on his face.

A hand on the nape of his neck, jungkook's eyes flinched towards the person who held him so close that he lost his breath in no time.

"What's wrong?"

Eyeing the familiar face, Jungkook slowly came back to his sense.

"Oh? Oh.. nothing."

His lips lowered her lips and she bit hers, noticing his every glance that fell over her lips.

"Nothing?"

Dae-ni mumbled before his eyes moved up to hers.

"She is thirsty."

And his jaw clenched.

"Nothing."
