Chapter 31 The truth (part-1)

Wonwoo opened the door of their apartment after his conversation with Minji and as soon as he stepped inside, it was as he expected, the stubborn man named Kim Mingyu was standing there in front of him, waiting for him.

For Wonwoo sometimes Mingyu is so predictable that it's an instinct now to know what he is doing or what he must be doing.

Wonwoo sighed internally at the sight of him and mentally shook his head. He could even imagine Mingyu sticking his ear to the door while trying to eavesdrop. But from the dissatisfied look on his face it looks like he wasn't successful in eavesdropping.

After briefly looking at Mingyu who was clearly waiting for him, Wonwoo didn't hesitate to pass by him with a white plastic carry bag in his hand.

Mingyu was astonished as he looked at the solemn Wonwoo passing by him. Was Wonwoo ignoring him? Why would Wonwoo ignore him? Did he do something wrong?

He must have.

If not, then Wonwoo wouldn't have ignored him.

Mingyu frowned hard in his heart. After so much difficulty they have finally figured out their feelings for each other but now his sweetheart seems to be angry with him about something. What should he do now? Cling to him?

Yep.

As Wonwoo was walking towards his room, Mingyu came from behind him and snaked his hands around Wonwoo's arm to stop him and also to hold him as he rested his chin on Wonwoo's shoulder and looked at him with puppy eyes.

"Wonu hyung, are you angry with me about something? Why are you ignoring me? You told me to wait for you inside obediently and I did as you said. You have promised me that you will tell me everything, but now why are you ignoring me?" Mingyu had a cute pout on his lips after saying all of this.

Looking at him like this, Wonwoo didn't knew if he should laugh or cry. But after looking at Mingyu's shiny eyes and still in pout lips, he couldn't help himself and grinned at his silly but cute looking lover. He flicked Mingyu's forehead to get him to drop his silly act and before Mingyu could exclaim in pain he cupped Mingyu's cheeks with both of his palms and landed a soft kiss on the spot where he had flicked earlier.

"It would be a lie if I say I wasn't angry but now I'm not anymore." Wonwoo looked at Mingyu with soft eyes while still cupping his cheeks.

"But you are not the only one to have questions to ask. I too want to ask you about some things." Wonwoo said seriously to which Mingyu nodded his head.

"First let's go to my room. Let's talk there."

To this Mingyu agreed with a smile towards him and said, "I will go where you want me to be"

Wonwoo stopped in his tracks after hearing him. His heart becoming an emotional mess by just one sentence from Mingyu. Is this the start of their honeymoon phase?

" What are you saying? Don't say such cringe worthy stuff. You sound so cheesy!" Wonwoo laughed as he scrunched his nose but it was all an act to hide the inner turmoil of emotions caused by those 'cheesy' words of Mingyu. Maybe it's because they were friends first before being lovers that's why it's hard for Wonwoo to adapt to the change in their relationship so quickly or maybe it's about the change in the way they talk.

Mingyu laughed alongside him. He was just teasing Wonwoo because he knew how shy Wonwoo would get after hearing them. Look at those ears that has started to turn pink. How cute!

After entering the room, they had themselves settled on the bed, Mingyu started saying, " Hyung, let's talk about other things later. First tell me why did you run away after hearing my confession? Do you know I got so scared while seeing you running away from me."

Wonwoo shifted on the spongy bed, a bit guiltily and felt that it's hard to explain why he ran away but still he looked up in Mingyu's eyes and said seriously, "Because I was embarrassed".

Mingyu who was also looking at him seriously, waiting for his answer felt his face crack with a weird expression. Something in between of everything. But Wonwoo concluded that it was an expression between laughter and tears.

No matter what expression Mingyu was making, it was true that Wonwoo was embarrassed at that time, more like flustered. His long time crush had finally admitted his feelings for him, of course he was flustered, also when he entered the room, everyone was looking at him. Everyone was looking at him when he was flustered made him more flustered and when he saw Mingyu realizing that he had heard everything and knows about Mingyu's feeling was like cherry on top.

Though Wonwoo justified himself in his mind, he doesn't know how to explain it to Mingyu so he just shrugged his shoulder. Mingyu too didn't keep insisting and changed the topic.

" So hyung, what did you and Minji talk about for so long?" Mingyu asked curiously.

Wonwoo raised his brow at the word 'long' because it could be barely counted as few minutes but this made him recount about the conversation he had with Minji.

When Minji said that she wanted to talk with Wonwoo privately, Mingyu was unwilling to budge. If not for Wonwoo promising him that he would tell him everything, he really wouldn't have given them privacy.

"Oppa, I was too much today. I'm sorry" Minji said as soon as Mingyu went inside. Her tone was overflowing with guilt.

"Yes, you were too much. But I will let it go just this once because I know you are heartbroken." Wonwoo paused in between to look at her in eyes before looking elsewhere and saying, "But I thought you already had some idea about what was going on between Mingyu and me".

Minji raised her head feeling sheepish.

" I would be an idiot if I would have been unaware even after you texted me last night." Minji said recalling the text she received by Wonwoo at night. It contained a few simple words that were 'Mingyu's with me. I don't know how but he is in my regular bar here and he is drunk'. At that time it was due to his guilty conscience that Wonwoo ended up texting her even though he knew things might go downhill after that.

It's also after receiving this text that made Minji keep guessing as to what was happening between both of them and she almost ended up coming to the conclusion that Wonwoo has seduced her boyfriend. Though she knew Wonwoo's character but this seed on suspicion had already taken root in her mind at night. She did knew that it was over between her and Mingyu since yesterday night but she still came here to demand explanation from Mingyu.

"Oppa, it's not like I can't accept you both being together and would instead prefer him being with you rather than him leaving me for some other girl" That would have hurt her pride as a beautiful girl,she thought to herself.

"I came here to just clear things at first but when I saw you both.... Umm.. Being.. Intimate? I kind of lost control over myself" Minji said in a small but clear voice while looking down at her sneakers and folding her hand behind her back, shifting here and there.

If only she had not seen such a heartfelt content look on both of them, the way Mingyu looked at Wonwoo with such a love filled gaze that he never saw her that way with, her mind wouldn't have blown becoming blank at that moment.

At that moment the seed of suspicion was watered with anger and it grew up rapidly in the plant of rage that's why she said such flowery words to Wonwoo.

Wonwoo felt at loss for words when he heard her say this. What could he say when it was their own fault for forcefully shoving PDA on someone's face.

"Hmm... Anyways, what are you going to do to get back at Mingyu?" Wonwoo asked with some concern. Though he believes that Minji won't make things too difficult for Mingyu but still he couldn't help but worry for Mingyu.

Minji raised her head with her eyebrows raised as well, not expecting Wonwoo to ask this question to her but then she thought something and smirked at him saying," Look at you being so worried about him. But you don't have to be so worried instead what I'm going to do might end up helping you. Anyways, I won't make Mingyu wait for long. You will get to know about it in few days"

When Wonwoo finished recalling, he saw that Mingyu was eagerly waiting for his reply. Thinking about Minji's evil smirk back then, he felt a sense of pity towards Mingyu.

"Nothing actually. She said that she won't keep you waiting."
