CHAPTER 9

While he was browsing, you went off in a different direction, looking at the makeup section. You have wanted to buy matte lipstick for a long time now. However, it's been hard finding the right blend of shade for you.

You step in front of a brand that you have no familiarity with. Skimming through the colors, you see one that specifically makes you smile. The tint was your favorite color for your lips.

Picking up the sampler, you take a cotton swab to dip it into the container. You walk to a nearby mirror and begin applying its content to your lips. You were amazed by how well it laid without running off your lip lines and actually filling your lips with color.

You pucker a few times before standing up straight. You were feeling confident in trying on more makeup, and so you decided to try some foundation and eye shadow. As you turned to make your way out of the aisle, you squealed seeing Yoongi who was standing near you almost the entire time.

Yoongi glances at your lips, intrigued by what you were up to. "You look really nice with that color."

"U-Uh thanks…" You stammer. You stood awkwardly for a moment, wondering what Yoongi was going to say next.

He takes a glimpse at the brand you were testing, raising an eyebrow. "No way you're buying this."

"What? What do you mean?"

"Something like this costing $50?"

Your eyes widening, they lock with the price tag that effortlessly laid there under the brand name. "I…did not notice the price tag."

"Well, I'm glad I noticed." Yoongi glances at the other brands in the aisle. "These cost $35 and less."

"I'm going to have to test those and see if I like how they look on me."

"Yeah, go ahead."

You frown upon realizing how pricy the products here were. Taking a wipe, you rub the matte lipstick off. Taking the cheaper sampler, you dab it on your lips with the cotton swab.

Surprisingly, it settled well with your lip tone. "This isn't bad, actually."

"See? What did I tell you?"

You take a sealed matte lipstick and hold it firmly. "Yeah, I'm glad you pointed it out. Thanks."

You leave to get on the line, seeing how short it is. Happily, you step behind the next person until you are called.

Placing the lipstick on the counter, you see a hand reach over you to place an item on the counter also. It was the previous brand of lipstick you've left behind, slapped down next to your new selection.

"I would like to pay for these two items."

Your lips part, seeing Yoongi stretching over you and speaking to the cashier. The cashier blushed, noticing Yoongi's features despite wearing a mask and bucket hat. "Y-Yes, of course!"

You feel a bit embarrassed that the rapper was openly interacting with you in front of strangers. Nervously, you step aside to let Yoongi do his thing.

Once everything was paid for, he looks at you with the bag in hand. You wondered where his selected perfume was.

"Ah, I ordered a box of them. It'll be delivered before the end of my tour in New York."

"Oh…nice."

Yoongi was grinning ear to ear, making it hard for you to stay angry with him. Thinking to yourself, you didn't think of Yoongi to be in a secret relationship. But then again—you are a secret. And a secret that mustn't be revealed.
