Chapter 29: Mission for Jiraiya.

"Are you sure?" Jiraiya asked.

"Yes, this a mission I've chosen for you, you can't turn it down as no one else can do this but you." Oden said showing no empathy.

"Are there any restrictions on how I go about this?" Jiraiya asked.

"No, you can use whatever methods you see fit, I give you free rein. But you only have two months to finish this mission." Oden said.

"I see, then I'll head off right now," Jiraiya said as he was about to turn around.

"No, you won't be going alone," Oden said, stopping Jiraiya from moving forward.

Suddenly the door smacked open as Naruto stormed inside.

"OLD MAN WHY DIDN'T YOU MAKE ME HOKAGE!" He shouted angrily, making Hiruzen laugh.

"Naruto..." Oden said

"Ehh, ITS YOU??! ARE YOU THE NEW HOKAGE??!" He shouted in shock.

"No, I'm only acting as Hokage for now... I'm giving you an S-rank mission, to bring back the new Hokage, will you accept it?" Oden said.

"S-RANK! YES-DATTEBAYO!" He shouted in happiness as he finally got recognized for his talents.

"Huh?" Jiraiya said as he heard what Oden said, realizing that he would have to bring Naruto with him.

"You'll go with Jiraiya and he'll train you while you're away." Oden said, and only then did Naruto notice Jiraiya.

"Eh Pervy sage?! Hokage, why him?!" Naruto cried out.

"He's the strongest student of the third Hokage, and the strongest person in the village right now, If you're not happy with him I can give you a chunin as a teacher." Oden said with a pondering voice.

"N-No Pervy sage is good!" Naruto changed his mind as he heard Oden words. He hadn't realized how amazing the ero-sannin was.

"Jiraiya, bring him and train him. I think this is your responsibility isn't it?" Oden asked mysteriously.

"...Yes " Jiraiya said realizing that Oden knew the relationship between Naruto's father and himself.

"You can leave for the mission in two days, tomorrow we'll be holding the chunin promotion, and all genin have to be present." Oden said before excusing both of them.

After both of them left, Hiruzen finally asked what had been on his mind.

"What did you write on the mission details?" Hiruzen asked.

"His mission is to find Tsunade and tell her that the acting Hokage has appointed her as the Hokage... And if she refuses to return... Then Jiraiya will treat her as a traitor to the village..." Oden said, leaving the rest unsaid.

Hiruzen stood up in surprise.

"Oden... she is the last of the Senjuu... is this wise?" Hiruzen spoke his worries.

"That's why I sent Naruto with Jiraiya, he has a natural talent and charisma that can change other people's views and opinions... But if she still refuses then she's going against her Hokage, and that is an act of treason. Since she has left the village without your permission, and she's not doing anything for the village, she's already dangerously close to becoming a missing-nin." Oden explained.

Hiruzen thought back to Naruto's personality and still had doubts.

"And what if she refuses..." Hiruzen finally asked.

"Then I told Jiraiya to bring me her head." Oden said.

If Tsunade was at full strength, he wouldn't have given the toad sage this mission as they can't risk losing him... but Tsunade has developed a fear for blood so she has a grave weakness.

"I see... I'll... trust your judgment." Hiruzen said as he thought back to the talk of being decisive.

"Don't worry, I know all your students are dear to you... and Tsunade might have escaped because of trauma, but she won't abandon the village her grandfather built.. this is the pride of the three founding Clans, she won't refuse!" Oden explained, trying to ease Hiruzen's worries.

After that, Hiruzen helped with paperwork for 15 minutes before leaving. Oden had found that the paperwork wasn't as dangerous as it had seemed in his previous life.

If Oden sat down half an hour every day then that would take care of the daily papers... but it seemed like the third Hokage didn't have the discipline, and instead saved up work and settled the papers all at the same time.

'No wonder he was stressed.' Oden thought, for him, this was easy work, in fact, if he created 5 more clones, he would be done with all the paperwork in five minutes.

After that, he created 2 clones that sat in the office. One in case there was more Hokage work to be done, and One in case an emergency comes up, it can dissipate and transmit the memories of the event.

Oden hurried to his clan to train and exercise.

After a few hours of hard work, he took a shower and went to eat. He usually eats alone as Migoto and Mina refuse to sit with him saying it would be rude.

But today Oden was surprised to find his grandfather sitting, waiting for him to eat with.

"Grandfather... why, no, how did you get so beat up?" Oden asked as he saw that his grandfather had two black eyes, a few small scars here and there.

"I found that traitor student of the third Hokage and whooped his buttocks, Sadly he escaped." Akai said in bitterness at the fact that he couldn't handle a snot-nosed brat anymore.

To think that he, Akai, the red, Zaraki could only fight some snot-nosed student to a standstill... well he knew that he was slightly weaker but that's not important.

"You found Orochimaru?" Oden asked in surprise.

"Orochimaru? Who's that, don't you mean Jiraiya?" Akai said confused.

"Not, Jiraiya is the third's good student, Orochimaru is the bad egg, he looks like a snake, did you fight Jiraiya?" Oden suddenly asked suspiciously.

"Jiraiya? Whose that? I fought Orochimaru the snake-looking brat. I've never met a white-haired brat with a red vest." Akai said as he started eating, trying to end the discussion.

"Grandfather... I never said that Jiraiya has white hair and a red vest...." Oden said, but it was destined for Akai to ignore his ignorant grandson, so he just kept eating.

"I better not get another complaint about you." Oden said slightly annoyed. Akai just ignored him, but one could see a sweat drop from his forehead at the mention of complaints.

After his fight with The traitor.... no, Jiraiya, he had gone back to the Nara clan to relieve some stress... Hopefully, they would not nitpick again with complaints.

Akai ate his fill and hastily escaped the building, he had decided to camp outside in the Forrest for a few days... until things calmed down that is.

Naruto, chapter 159 and 162. Jiariya warns Tsunade that if she takes Orochimaru's offer and betrays Konoha, he will personally "hunt her down and kill her!" in his own words.

He was very loyal to konoha and would even kill Tsunade and Orochimaru for betraying the village.

As for Naruto, when his teamste deserted, Naruto started whining about how much he misses Sasuke. Kinda sus if imma be honest.
