The next day…
"Thank you for coming." Wolf walked beside Heaven as he was already on the way to board the private plane. He slowly halted and faced her, smiling. "I thought you wouldn't come, considering everything I said a few days ago."
"No," she replied as she faced him squarely, unbothered by the strong wind blowing at them from the plane. "Thank you for calling me. I was afraid you'd just leave and never show your face again."
"Do you really think I'd do that?"
"No, but I'm afraid you'd hide after sending your minions to ruin my life. It'll be hard to track you down."
A loud laughter escaped his mouth, nodding in satisfaction. "Well, I did a lot of thinking after we parted ways."
"Do you believe me now, Wolf?"
"I can't confidently say I do," he answered in all honesty. "I'd be doomed if I simply believe a person's words without enough data."
