Heaven wiped her cheek with the back of her hand, still holding the pistol in it. Her eyes fell on Elmo, watching the blood crawl underneath his head.
"What a shame," she whispered, showing no emotions in adding another life taken under her belt. "He didn't look like he's a naturally bad person."
Another deep exhale slipped past her nostrils, eyes still on the dead Elmo. It had been a while since she wiped out an entire unit all on her own. Last year, Heaven didn't truly have the spare time to think about the dead, let alone how many people died in her hands. Not that she felt guilty for this.
"This is the life you lived and the path we all walked." Another whisper escaped her lips, stretching her hand to Elmo to close his eyes. "I'm not saying you made the wrong decision in siding with such a man, but you shouldn't have been so foolish to think someone like me would let you go."
