Short Pain

After the family meeting, Su Bin found himself compelled to have a private conversation with Qin Zhenzhen.

Qin Zhenzhen had just secured the door and settled in for the night when a knock at the door startled her.

"It's me, Su Bin," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

His tone held a subtle, masculine gentleness that caused a flicker of emotion within Qin Zhenzhen.

However, Qin Zhenzhen prided herself on her rationality and decided against opening the door.

Despite everyone else being asleep, he had chosen this late hour to seek her out, taking care to hush his voice to avoid any misconceptions.

From behind the door, Qin Zhenzhen inquired, "Is there something urgent? I'm about to go to bed."

She was resolute in her decision to keep the door closed, not willing to grant access unless the situation demanded it.

Su Bin, however, was not inclined to leave just yet.
