I ran the tests

Stan stared at him. Although his boss was powerful, he had never tried using his power to blackmail others or for personal gain. He always concentrated on his work. "Okay, sir." With that, Stan excused himself, giving Declan enough time to go through each document. All he needed was something he could use against Jack until he agreed to divorce Mia. She hadn't asked him for help, but it was the right thing to do to assist her.

After revising the document a bit, he left it and focused on his work. He needed to figure out what Jack had over his shareholders, so he could turn them back to his side, and find a way to get rid of Mr. Stone.

Soon, he called Mia, but she wasn't responsive. Since the party, she had been off. She barely said a word before going to bed, and the next morning she had firmly locked the door to her room, denying him access in any way.

"What's wrong, Mia? You can talk to me." He sent his message and awaited a reply, but he was left on read.
