Order of the golden sands

Nick was in no rush as he walked the halls of the castle while heading to the headmasters office and spotted the small flaws in the schools magic from a thousand years of degradation and magical damage. He wouldn't have noticed them had it not been for his memorization of Rowena Ravenclaws wards on the island before he took them down to be replaced with his improved ones. 'I suppose i will be nice enough to repair the damage to the castles enchantments while I am here.' Nick thought offhandedly as he reached the gargoyle leading to Dumbledore.-

"Move aside , I need to speak to the headmaster." he spoke calmly but firmly and the gargoyle statue rotated out of the way. This was a shortcut that past headmasters had added to the statue in order to make sure that students were never turned away if they had a need to speak with them. The trick was the intent by which you spoke to the statue as if you weren't serious you required a password. "Ah good evening Nicholas , to what do I own your visit this time?" The old man asked in a friendly but polite manner.-

"Over the summer a man claiming to be my uncle trespassed upon my island with the intent to kill me under the orders of a shadow organization of some sort. I was hoping you may be able to illuminate who they might be and if I should do as they wish and keep my head down or not." Nick spoke calmly and straight to the point. Dumbledore lost his smile and turned serious instantly after hearing what Nick said. "Can you describe anything about this group that you may have gleamed from your encounter with this uncle of yours?" the old man asked sternly and Nick gave every detail he could.-

"Hmmm , I can think of four possibilities with none being good for you. The first is the order of the golden sands that is a secretive group known only to those with true power in the world like myself and Nico. They were originally a collective of tomb raiders that hoard ancient powerful knowledge taken from ancient wizards tombs. Terribly secretive and mercilous due to their origins they have been moving behinds the scenes for many years collecting unique bloodline abilities and knowledge whatever the means necessary."-

"The second is the dragons claw but it is unlikely since they are a group based in japan and have little interest in western magic. The third is a group in Venezuela known as the followers of Zeus but they would be more likely to try and recruit you than kill you since your ability is a good fit. I won't even talk about he final group since I know for certain that they would leave you alone." Dumbledore said calmly. "Why is that?" Nick asked confused about why he was so sure. "That is the acolytes created by Gellert so long ago , he has clearly chosen to leave you alone so they will follow his example." Dumbledore explained honestly.-

"From the sound of it you seem fairly certain that it is the order of the golden sands behind this attack and ultimatum , why?" Nick asked seriously. "You said that the one who came to the island used several forms of magic that were completely unknown to you but powerful. That is the telltale sign of ancient lost magics at work. Things like that don't simply come from nowhere as you are aware after having founded two crafting styles yourself. In majority of cases the reappearance of such magic is from ancient tombs that had been raided and integrated." The old goat said sternly.-

"That would make sense if they were tomb raiders like you said. But why would they exile me and then try to kill me after I started to make a name for myself?" Nick asked confused. "Perhaps someone you have offended recognized one of the groups members as similar to you and has been causing them problems?" Dumbledore offered helpfully. "How on earth does that warrant execution though? Like being told to compensate them I can understand but going straight to death is a bit much no?" Nick asked confused.-

"Perhaps if you weren't related to them in some way but you said that they exiled you which means they may be fearful of you attacking them for revenge if you continue to grow at your current rate." Dumbledore pointed out seriously. "I literally don't remember a thing about them though , in fact I am fairly certain they erased my memory before they exiled me which explains why I have no memories from before that alley." Nick said frustrated at the absurdity of the situation.
