Cleared of the charges

Jin Weimin was rather calm as he sat in the witness box. Even though everyone was looking at him as if he were a rare exotic beast, he didn't seem bothered by their gazes.

He was after all here to end a decades-old feud that should have ended long ago. 

"Then we shall start with the proceedings," Fu Qi Hong calmly stated, his voice which was louder than usual echoed in the courtroom. 

No sooner did he finish speaking, Wei Yunrou started panicking. She glanced at Si Ma who was already looking back at her. 

The two women were filled with trepidation as they raked their minds to somehow stop the court proceedings from happening.

However, the situation was like this already. What were they supposed to do to stop the proceedings from continuing?
